First to 10's, who will it be?

Who will be the firs to hit some 10's in the 1/4 mile with either a s65, s54, or n54? Street car, not dedicated track car... All three platforms have gottten pretty close, but I don't think any have hit it yet! Who will be first?

Probably. Several people who have a shot there.

Only one person with the S65 has a chance right now.

And with the S54, only one person seems to be aggressively trying but is having issues launching.

The N54 autos spraying are the easiest path but they need more nitrous to do it.

The window for west coast people will be closed in the next couple months as well.

There are 2 people that are actively trying for the s54, one of them has already hit a 11.00, can't get any closer than that!

Isn't a HPF Stage 3 easily in this range? A 2 or 2.5 could probably make it too, right?

There is only one stage 3 now, since one of them got totaled when transport truck that was carrying it crashed. The only stage 3 is SMG, and by the looks of it, getting a SMG car into the 10's needs a lot more work and experimenting.

I see... it will take something like a 2.5+ manual.

    Who has the 4's?

Wow, I had no idea that the stage 3 was so rare. That's too bad to hear about the one that was totaled. Do you know how many 2.5 cars there are out there?

A guy in Florida, widebody too. Chris (owner of HPF) was stage 4, but lowered it to stage 3 for road racing.

If Scott doesn't get it within the next month or so with his HPF 2.5, then my vote will go for N54...

It isn't the same thing as a slip. Vbox is a great tool, but it isn't a slip.

Hopefully it will be me...early April! Although I have heard that an HPF car has already ran in the 10s. I heard this from a guy that was at the event, but I guess the HPF owner isn't on the forums?

And u can't compare the S54 to the n54 or s65 since the s54 has had almost ten years for R&D

You can certainly compare the times. However, all of these motors have yet to hit 10's but all have the potential. Pretty cool Click here to enlarge

Yes, but the s54 was also the first to have to break through the beliefs and barriers of, "You want to boost a motor with that high of a compression ratio, you must be smoking crack!"

So, yes, it does have an earlier start, but not as much as you think....

^ That is very true... it was a few years before that ever even started to die down when people were still saying the S54 was weak due to the bearing recall.

Yes, it is hard, unless you are Drew Click here to enlarge

Someone with a stage 2.5, 6MT, and drag radials should handle on this with no problem. I'm sure I will try it soon, only problem will be having to get rid of my Brembo's out back Click here to enlarge
