He hit 511 SAE @ 7.x psi on his last runs, so he picked up 29whp from the x pipe if the 540 is SAEm, very nice gains.

Why would he be putting down more? Those numbers would be more in line with a higher boost pulley. Either way, we don't have boost graphs.

I've come to the conclusion that it has to do with the cool air, elevation, conditions.

Just so people are clear here, you state you are going back to the 6 psi. So, it would seem these dynos were with a higher boost pulley.

Not that it really matters all that much, the numbers are strong and also correlate with M33's 7 psi graph. But I think we are all going to need to get in the habit of showing boost graphs.

He did dyno in 30 degree weather, so a gain of 1psi more seems reasonable. But I agree it should be at the very least 6.5psi and boost graphs should be a must if possible.

Sticky what are you talking about? He will obviously be putting down more with a higher boost pulley - that was my point. Hes running the VT2-600 pulley right now, and I said when he swaps it for the higher boost one he will get over 550whp.

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. Why would he be putting down 540 whp at 6 psi vs. the 510 or so he put down previously at 7 psi?

Sticky go back and see where it's quoted that my 510whp was with stock exhaust system and the 540whp was with the dinan cat delete midsection and the encore innovation exhaust , so 29 whp was gained with the dinan midsection .
Same pulley was used during both dyno's which is the 6.5 pulley.

Now these dyno figures are from two different dyno jets but the weather was about the same around 38 to 48 deg . I personally forgot to ask for the boost logging/hook up.
I plan on going back to the dyno jet where I originally did all my dyno's ( stock , SC'r w/ cats ) at Pruven performance . I'm totally on the same page with you guys when it comes to boost being displayed even Roman and Robert get on my case for boost logs , I have nothing to hide !

What will be interesting is to see what numbers the car puts down when weather gets warmer .

Drew stated it was 7 psi?

Not saying you have anything to hide (other than multiple usernames, and some other shady bits you attempt on the forum here) just hard to keep track of all these pulley changes. So you are stating the same pulley for both runs, fine.

Bit surprised Roman would get on you for not displaying boost when he has set a precedent of not displaying boost with his own kits and the numbers he releases. AJ sent me a bunch of runs from ESS kits a while back when he as still civil, none of them had boost logs.

I believe it was stated that there were no boost logs?

We have all seen what a boost log looks like but I have never seen one from your car. It is important to have them for every setup, mine, yours, etc, to see all the details.

It isn't a life or death thing or anything just helps understand the graph as well as limit speculation.

Technically guys, if you have less restriction through the engine you'll see higher HP and less boost with a S/C. I can see how adding an exhaust would drop the boost seen at the manifold. If you could log the mass flow signal, that's where you'd see what is really going on.

This is true, you relieve the backpressure but the point really is to know what pulley is being run. Ultimately, that is the goal and a boost log is really the closest we can come even though it isn't perfect to seeing that.
