Why isn't it in the garage?

But yes, with almost any car an owner really appreciates, he will be found staring at it in admiration at some point.

Sometimes I catch myself trolling other forums because I look outside and see my BMW so it reminds me of how good I am.

Well to be honest, when I get out of my car at work, I tend to look back and admire it. I try not to do this too long so nobody will see me and think I'm vain.

Only through the reflection of the windows I passed by... Click here to enlarge

p.s. it's garaged so can't look at it out the window, but if it was outside, I'd be damn sure I had a security camera pointing down at it to monitor it all night!

My office window overlooks the area where I park my car - so I often catch myself looking out to see if it's still safe. I think I prefer my old office that didn't have a window, at least I couldn't get paranoid when people drive/walk near it.

I have a choice for parking -- dirt lot (and risk door dings), or staff-only street parking (and risk scuffed bumpers). So I alternate between the two in order to provide balance. ... and .. I've just looked at my car again Click here to enlarge

    Indeed it is!

On the street, I park as close as legally possible to the fire hydrant ... so that nobody parks behind me. However, there is a person at work who likes to simply park in front of the hydrant, rendering my efforts futile. I could get him towed, but I'm not like that ... yet!

LOL! I was gonna post the same thing. Sometimes I'll go to other people's office so I can look out their window (since I don't have one). HA! I also keep an eye on who's parked next to me - just in case...

The best part is that eventually, you'll have to return to the car, and you get to admire it all the way back without people thinking you're a muppet Click here to enlarge

Even though I've been driving manual forever, since I've got this car, it's introduced a whole new level of paranoia. After walking away from my car, I find myself turning around and walking back to it to check I've engaged the parking brake and left it in gear. Good thing I'm not quite using wheel-chocks yet .. D'oh!

I actually found the best solution to parking is leave the car in my garage and walk to work.

    LOL

I think the pickup drove off a bridge, and landed in the garage of an unsuspecting Ferrari owner. That has to suck, considering that we all believe the garage to be the safest place for our cars!
