Why no piggyback tuning on the N63? Can we use piggybacks?

Terry and I discussed this a bit. I'm trying to figure out if piggyback tuning can be done on the N63.

The ecu is a Siemens MSD85.

    Anyone know?

Why piggyback at all? The MSD85 is already figured out. The flash protocols are in almost every tool. Piggybacks have been a stop-gap solution on just about every platform before the DAMOS files or ecu crackers get a full re-map ready. Then they are discontinued.

I realize that, I'm just asking if it is a possibility.

N63 no, S63, yes. Most flash tools have protocols for these cars.

Interesting - so we've found a source for S63 exhaust manifolds and turbos and now have a guy who can do flash tuning...

Now we need an N63 owner with cojones and deep pockets and we're in business Click here to enlarge

The Siemens MSD8x & MSV8x DME family are pretty much similar. Same checksum calculations, similar lambda, ignition tables, etc. etc.etc. etc, etc. Unlike the a Bosch MEVD17.5 or Bosch Mini R56 DME & New Countryman =) Maybe it would be too much to risk for a 'garapata' on purchased N63/S63 engine =)
