Yet Another DP Option for the N54- iCarbon

No real information out yet (size, price, etc) other than the 'titanium edition' coating. They appear to be a 3" pipe necking down to 2.5" at the rear flange with TIG welds. DTMrack says they will be in stock by the end of January 2011.

What is the coating you ask? I'm not really sure

The N54 down-pipe market is pretty saturated, not sure how many sales they will get. Their front lip and trunk spoiler are PERFECT in my eyes though.

Yeah there has to be almost a dozen options. If it is a 3" pipe, that will separate them from most of the options I guess. Still 3 or 4 standbys to prove yourself against though

Looks like a nice pipe and everyone is trying to squeeze in. Seems like a lucrative market.

Looks really nice. I've seen some pictures of their trunks as well, which look beautiful.

I met the owners of iCarbon when I was at the big BMW meet here in south Fl.

It's a really small company that specializes in mostly carbon fiber non-structural parts, they make aesthetic parts which look great IMO. Not sure why they are even bothering with DPs.

me either, and that near 90 degree bend on one of the pipes just does not look right to me. anyway like people have said, the market is already saturated, how many sales can they expect, unless they're just trying to expand.

Poor business decision, someone didnt do their basic homework. What are the competitors up to? "Oh look, we will have 20 competitors offering better $#@! for less money"...

Seems they think they can sell them, N54 market is now saturated with downpipe options which sucks IMO for the quality manufacturers (AR Design and CP-E).

They do look nice. Maybe they're going to swoop in with a low-ball price to be competitive.

$679. If I didn't jump the gun and get the AR's, I might have gotten these. I just hope Raceland takes their $#@! back.

    Don't hope, make them.

Be sure to let us know your impressions on the AR pipes.

And I agree, these iCarbon pipes look very nice! I want their lip and trunk spoiler for the 135i, with some black APEX wheels.....
