1M Coupe pricing in Holland over $100k - 80,000 Euros

Guess we have it pretty good eh? Keep in mind, this is a model equipped with options but a base model in Germany costs 68,500 euros.

They have all kinds of provisions in place to prevent that kind of thing.

Would make sense to ship a US M3 to Holland though, but that is tough as well.

To prevent you from sourcing cars from outside of Holland. The government wants its money.

    No you don't
They are frankly not worth the money you would pay for it.
And the stupid thing is the car itself isn't that expensive.
But over the netto price you pay +/- 25% BPM tax.
Then there is the polution tax, which is very high in this case because of the CO2 emissions of the engine(>210g/km) , so it gets a H-label (A being the cleanest)
And over all that you pay 19% VAT.

The BPM tax is also being charged when importing cars, including the other taxes as well.
There is a percentage taken off of the BPM for each year the imported car is older, equalling 0 after i believe 8 years.
CO2 tax and VAT still need to be payed.
It is unlawfull to drive around in a car with foreign plates for a Dutch resident.

I think they've made the car too damn expensive, starting at 47k in the US, probably mid 50's well equipped. People will still buy it, but dayum.

My 135i including $15000 worth of accesoires was $84,500. Stock M automatic. I'm not sure what you're all complaining about. And Euro98 is $2,27 a liter at the moment...

But we are in gallons so I'm not sure how that works out. Don't feel like doing the math.

    1 US gallon is 3.785412 liters, so it's $0.816 a liter
We pay 2.78x as much for the same amount of fuel.

^ There's pretty much 2 packages, Convenience and Premium, which have to be ordered with each other (at least that was my understanding). And then stand alone options like heated seats, bluetooth, sat radio, and upgraded sound system.

Is it more worth it to get factory upgraded sound or aftermarket?

Am I the only one that thinks the interior is a bit underwhelming?

The seats are far from M-calibers seats. The leather is not the nice smooth M-leather. It looks like they just threw in some alcantara and orange stitching. The gauges also look cheap.

Is there a way to not get that hideous orange stitching?

The price is good. I think I may step into this. If I lease my payments will actually be lower than my 135i that I financed (I know it will be more in the long run, but I'm young and broke ha).

The 1M will cover all the mods I want to do for my 135i's handling. I already have DCI and JB4 that I will transfer over. So just the rest of the bolt-ons, either RB's or a single turbo and I'll be set for a daily driver that can rip-up tracks and autocross for years and years to come!

You are going to put a turbo upgrade on a leased car?

    I think long term.

I was going to keep my 135i forever, as I like to keep my cars, but then the 1M was announced and addresses all the complaints I have about the 135i.

So yes, lease till I have enough money per month to finance, pay it down and mod it while I'm going.

Aren't all cars in Norway overpriced like that though?
