    im curious, because even though the M3 pulls up top, by the top of 4th gr, he was still behind the GTR, a 119mph car (stock)
    With bolt on's I shift into 4th, not near the top though. This is what hurts traps vs. the manual IMO which can stay far longer in third.

    Gearing is as follow:

    BMW M3 DCT
    Gear / Ratio / Max Speed / RPM drop on upshift
    1st 4.780 44
    2nd 2.933 71 5200
    3rd 2.153 97 6200
    4th 1.678 124 6500
    5th 1.390 150 6900
    6th 1.203 173 7300
    7th 1.000 208 7000

    Final Ratio 3.154

    With a higher boost SC you should shift into 5th which hurts traps a little as well IMO. I think the DCT needs longer gearing with an SC, here is what the manual looks like:

    BMW M3 6-speed
    Gear / Ratio / Max Speed / RPM drop on upshift
    1st 4.055 44
    2nd 2.396 75 4900
    3rd 1.582 113 5600
    4th 1.192 150 6300

    Maybe, but by the time the M3 even began to pull, both car were already past the 1/4 mark, and over the 120mph mark in which the GTR's boost has already begun to lower.
    Im actually disappointed that, that M3 couldnt do any better against a stock GTR...

    The M3 could do better, DCT is a huge advantage down low when you have to row the gears.

    Up top you will notice just how strong the manual car is. The driver just can't outshift the GTR 1-4

    Either way, I'm not taking anything away from the performance of your car, it is amazing, but I don't think you can run with that car in your GT3, but I would love to see some pulls, there are ESS cars on both coasts, I believe a VT600 in Florida just dynoed 560whp STD, not sure what that would be SAE.

    I'm not sure that run is really an accurate depiction of how that car can perform, in other vids, same day he did very well against a Evotech RS6, which are pretty damn quick, and probably run 8s 60-130 and trap in the 124+ range. I do agree, and the owner made a similar conclusion that it is probably not putting down a true 590whp, as it did a few days before, but the DCT cars are faster, Mikewads ESS VT600 is very fast.
    Could you post the vids? I haven't seen them. Im sure it can be improved. Things as simple as better shifting, can show a great difference. Just because some cars trap 124+ range, with MT tires or other radials tires on a prepped track, don't mean that they'll perform the same on the street, even if with some type of performance tires...
    Yes, DTC are obviously faster, but in this case, the car is MT. Mikewad's car is very fast. One of the fastest out there, especially when using nitrous.

    I compared my GT3, stock for stock vs a GTR, which I ran. Not the S/C M3, which I've been dying to run, because it hasn't happened and its great theres now a ESS M3 in SoFL. I'll be contacting him to do some friendly runs at a private road. That should be about a nice 540whp/355wtq sae, 3800lbs car. My GT3 is a 420whp/315wtq sae and about 3025 lbs. I would expect him to be slightly faster, but Ive had very interesting 50mph-170mph results against 516whp/536wtq 997 turbo 3900lbs car (had a fat, but good driver Click here to enlarge) and some other fast cars...     There's got to be an explanation as to why a stock 6sp 997.1 (2007) turbo does 0-300km in 40.xx seconds and a stock 2009/2010 GTR does 0-300km in low 50's', no?

    I think if that M3 was DCT it would have faired a lot better. Takes it a while before it can pull.

    The 360 owner jumped so badly that was funny but he had no chance either way.

    I know... I've been swamped with work stuff. Im getting new tires in a couple of weeks and will buy a v-box by then.
