Vintage Footage of HPF vs VF

This was done about 2+ years ago. This was HPF Kit #1 Stage 1 running on race fuel (MS109) with a cat. I know, I just had that environmentally feeling at that time. Steve is running a very nice Vert running the VF Stage 1 kit running about ~400whp. We also did some Stock vs VF runs for comparos.

    Bwahahahahahahaha!

Both kits are very nice and fun to drive, yet VERY different!

This one is just a bit closer, lol, but the outcome was a no brainer as well!

Wow, that VF vert barely pulled on the stocker. Either the VF car wasn't running right or the stock car was a freak (which I believe was mentioned a long time ago).

The Vert is running right. Its heavy with 2 people and 100 pounds of Stereo gear too. I have another vid where the coupe VF Stage 1 raced it and it was very close.

So the vert VF car was at least 600lbs heavier than the stock coupe! Damn that's a lot of weight!

Jim, your car was making around 550rwhp due to the cats and lower octane right?

Correct. Special tune was designed for race cats and MS109 only. Still hauled ass!

Hell ya it did! And to think, you were down around 70rwhp from the current stage 2 kits!

The only downside is, having to use MS109 which is expensive at about $12/gal in AZ from a fuel shop. I can get 110 Sunoco Leaded at the pump (Love's Gas Station) for $6.99.

Hey Jim, Dunno if you know about this site with the race fuel locations out here. Speedway sells the 55g drums too. Pricing is old so give or take .50 i'd guess.
