BMW continues to compare the 1M Coupe to the E30 M3 - New Promo Vid

BMW continues their habit of comparing the E82 1M Coupe to the E30 M3. They continue pulling at heart strings trying to illicit feelings of nostalgia as the E82 1M Coupe is not the spiritual successor to the E30 M3, no matter how hard they try to market otherwise. Enjoy the footage...

BMW, PLEASE fire this cameraman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First 5 minutes are horrible.
Why they did not make the angeleyes LED light instead of a LED "eyebrow" is beyond me. This looks stupid, especially with the lights off.
And of course In real life there is no way the E30 M3 will ever be able to keep up with the 1M...

It's insulting to keep trying to sell us on the idea that this is somehow an E30 M3 successor.

but it's just as insulting to make it seem like an E30 M3 would be ANYWHERE near the 1 M on the track, who wants to see a video (or is this a slide show? Why does it cut every two seconds to a different stationary camera? of these two track weapons being driven an zero tenths?

Two of the coolest BMWs in history and I was bored out of my mind...

They didn't make it seem like the E30 M3 would be anywhere near the 1M on the track. It was just promo footage showing them together, not showing them together in performance.

Exactly, it is just a slide show really and doesn't show much so there is no implication of similar performance. Terrible video based on a stupid concept of forcing an uncomfortable comparison.

It's too late, everybody is as no one thinks for themselves. It pisses me off, I'm considering writing an article on why it is idiotic.

Place that motor in an E30 m3 with basic Eibach upgrade, upgraded wheels and tires and i can almost gaurantee the E30 will keep pace with this 1M and all its gizmos.

Any case with the dilusion and ruining of the M brand, the 1M would never be anything close to an E30 despite the higher level of performance. It wont ever have the feel, or enjoyment. Most importantly, it wont ever have the following and classic status of the OG M3.
