By S5x you usually mean S50/S52 but would you include S54? Nitrous is proven on that platform with some very, very nice gains.

Good topic, I also don't hear much about it on the M50/S50's.

We like to use power all the time too. Sometimes you can't get anymore power and nitrous serves its purpose. It also supplements a big turbo as well helping spool or for adding needed torque to high revving BMW motors.

That is right,i only would use it for dragracing to spool a big turbo, but not for street use

I don't disagree, I don't think using a big shot of nitrous on the street is the safest thing anyway.

    I was

similar setup will be going back on my new intake manifold and I'll be spraying it dry probably 100 - 125 again. I hadn't sprayed it direct port (leaks in intake) but I did spray it single fogger for 75 shot.

So no one calls me out Click here to enlarge That pic above is a totally different turbo setup than I am currently running !111

Why are there leaks in the intake?

The manifold with the direct port setup was an OBD1 composite intake. The leaks were at the nozzles.

Sorry if I'm not understanding, but why would this manifold cause a leak at the nozzles?

Because its plastic and the nozzles are threaded into plastic. Then you apply boost. Stuff expands. Leaks happen.

My new intake is CNC'd and COSMOS flowed, should be much nicer.

I've also heard that many adhesives/glues/epoxies do not do well on our plastic intake,
despite a "proper" tapping of the structure for a threaded item.
