Race mode only allows wheelies for 5 seconds?

Sticky, you should get a liter bike, and then you will understand.

No no, not for me. I wouldn't be responsible with it and a liter bike would be way too much to start with.

I have considered the electric bike coming from Brammo.

Would you mind adding your motorcycle to the garage? I want to test some motorcycle functionality if that is ok with you and also make sure multiple vehicles / motorcycles works fine.

Sorry, I haven't posted for a while. I did the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Course) and then got my motorcycle endorsement for Utah. I have been busy riding, studying and then testing. So, yes, I will post the bike in the garage and yes it is more power then you need. But, BMW has made this bike INCREDIBLY safe.

By the way, I am taking the Sportbike Race Class in July 2011. See this link: Three-Day Yamaha Champions School. I don't want to race the bike, but I am planning on doing some track days next summer and want to be prepared!

This is a great vid showing the bikes power. I am 100% blown away by the handling, braking, and stability of this bike. Lots of parts coming in the mail. This bike will be decked out!

I don't want to dwell on the bike.... But again, the bike is very well behaved in sport mode. I think that the biggest barrier is just riding the bike around town and being prepared for the worse. It takes some time to get familiar with riding in traffic and can be very intimidating while you are getting a feel for the bike. After a few weeks, I feel at home in city traffic, but a little out of my element on the freeway. It is weird, but when I get in the commuter lane during rush hour, I feel trapped. If I was in my car, it would be no big deal. However, on the bike, it feels like I am locked in the lane. I know I will get over this with time, so no big deal.

I will say that if you are bored with your car, and want a new challenge, this bike is a great option! Loads of fun, explosive power and great engineering make the bike the perfect fix for those looking for something a little different.

Congrats!!!! Best looking bike out!!! Thing is so gorgeous, i just want to buy one and put it my room as art!!!! I believe the bike did really well in the race series.

You guys should check out the 2011 Kawasaki zx10 is going to have 208hp!!!!!!! That thing is going to be crazy fast, I hear they are all up'ing their game to compete with the bmw!

I had a ducati monster 696, I sold it, thought i was going to die...i took it on some canyon rides, a whole different animal, lots of fun, but it was riding in traffic that i just felt like i was gona die, someone was going to hit me etc. Cant imagine the power of the 1000rr bmw, the ducati felt fast to me although i know it wasnt that fast but quite torquey

I agree about a work of art. It is very stunning in person. And yes, it did extremely well this last season.

I have seen a lot about the ZX10, but I am a BMW fan. I was just happy that BMW put out a liter sport bike let alone a great performer. Once I put on the pipe and run Power Commander, I will be right around 205 hp and 25 lbs. lighter at ~425 lbs fully fueled. ! That is more than enough for me. Click here to enlarge

Id still take the BMW as well, its so $#@!ing sexy!!!! im jealous! I was just saying about the zx10 for discussion. My ducati was quick for me, 1st bike...used to ride my friends Yamaha R6 a bit and that thing scared the hell out of me...so fast....I couldnt imagine your bike.

The bike is fast, but it is not like your friend's R6. It has so many safety controls built in that almost anybody could ride it. It just depends on what mode you are riding. I also know that you were throwing the ZX10 in for discussion. It is crazy where these bikes are going. Hopefully, the ZX10's preprogrammed maps are just as safe as BMW's.
