Cp-e cp with tial 50....anyone have flutter?

Hey guys wondering if any one else has a little flutter with there tial setup mainly in low rpms occasionally, moved from the pink spring to the unpainted spring and that helped alot but I still have a little flutter, cp-e has been NO HELP AT ALL...sent an email 2 weeks ago got a response a week later telling me someone else could help me and I am still waiting, my question is am I messing up my turbos or has anyone else experienced this very light flutter nothing like some of the videos on youtube, just dont want to mess up the turbos.

Thank you...sleepy dub said at very light throttle it isn't really a problem...when it happens my boost gauge show I am barely out of vacuum so is that still a major problem

You should check for some vacuum leaks first.
Litter flutter is common with the Tial though. Take a video .

If you aren't pressing the throttle much you won't make much boost.... and the pressure differential is not enough to open the BOV all the way, not a major problem. I hate ANY compressor surge though, I would go with HKS SSQV or Synapse Synchronic.

^^The Tial is usually very reliably with compressor surge.

Yes, when making lots of boost. I've seen them stay shut or not open much under light loads, like < 5psi. Same with the Greddy Type-R or S or whatever, tried three different ones and they all sucked.

I spent like 2 days playing with washers and spring preload and was never happy till I switched to SSQVs. They even came with little in-line filters for the vacuum lines lol. Click here to enlarge

I think you might have the wrong spring (too stiff) in there, I recall when I took mine apart a while back it had the white spring in it; haven't been getting any flutter at all.

I'll try and tear it apart again to verify.

No problem, I just got it apart right now, definitely have the white spring in there. Give it a try and see if that solves the flutter issue!

Currently I have my car set to 17psi and it's been holding fine with this spring.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, I'll e-mail CP-E right now and find out what is going on.

Trust me, I expect sponsors to respond to customers. CP-E always does so something had to come up. I sent a message, I'll let you know ASAP.

Hey guys. I have had some personal issues lately as well as a HUGE work load so things have been hectic none the less.

I remember getting this email. I never got any response after i said that light flutter is normal with small turbos like these that are in and out of boost instantly / constantly. Use the spring we send out with the BOV kit as it is what we recommend Click here to enlarge Im guessing you are the gentleman with email account Go***bk@gmail.com? If you need anything else you can always reach me through PM here as well.

Sticky - thanks bud for hitting me up. It's been a very stressful month to say the least. We are about to release some crazy products though Click here to enlarge

No prob, it is difficult to monitor the boards 24/7 especially with how much work CP-E has and your regular job. My job to do that for you and let you know of anything that may require your attention Click here to enlarge
