First time to the track this season 12.3@115 in 335xi AT

Finally got some time to go to the track this year and unfortunately its been really hot an humid this past weekend but was able to go to Union Grove, IL and get some runs in at Great Lakes Dragaway.

It was around 85 degrees F+ and about 60% humidity runs ranged from 12.3 - 12.8 and trap mph between 113-115. Most of my 60 fts were around the 1.85 mark except for the one time I tried launching in second gear and netted me a 1.97 and slower mph. I have a vid of the 12.3 run but the file is to big to attach.

I think the car has more in it when the weather cools off. I want to get this car into the 11's before I install stage 3 vtt turbos late in the fall.

Mods of the car in my sig.

Post some slips, times arent bad - but based on the numbers in your sig i would expect higher trap speeds and a better et. Are you launching hard?

With better weather the times will go down and trap speeds will go up. It's been hot and humid here. I break boost the car and consistently running mid 1.8 60 fts.

You have to also remember that my car is an Auto with xdrive and the curb weight is much higher than other rwd 335i and I raced with 3/4 tank of gas so probably close to 4000lbs curb weight.

Your 1/4 times are right in-line to my 335XI 6AT..

    With the Vbox, I was getting 12.1 - 12.3 @ 117-118mph

This was done in Feb so much cooler temps.. I need to borrow my buddies Vbox again and see what it runs with the 30 shot of N20 Click here to enlarge

Sounds spot on for the weather, I ran 12.3 @ 115 with ~370whp but I had 1/4 tank of fuel and no seats (3800 LBS race weight). In the cooler temps running the same WHP I have run nearly 118mph traps.

As they say, run in the summer for fun, run in the fall for records. Heat and humidity aren't great for records.

Thanks. Can't wait to see your beast sorted out and running as well. If the 4l80e swap works out for you I will be going that route as well.

Yup... Basically to be honest the car is $#@! slow from a dig with the AT. You CANNOT brake boost it with the 6466 lol.. But its a beast on the road. With a tranny to allow it to launch from say 4-5K rpms and tires, it will do 10s no problem.
