    Jb4 and scangauge

I recently purchased a jb4 and installed it. I already had a scangauge installed. Since jb4 install I've had the scangauge turn off three times and coolant temp read 325 degrees F. So what I'm wondering is there any way to make both be happy.

If its using the CANbus then remove it. The JB4 needs priority access for your engine tuning! Besides, most of the good stuff (boost, afr, timing if using cps, etc) read via the OBDII port will be inaccurate anyway with the JB4 in place.

Thanks terry for the response, the whole reason I got the scangauge was for coolant temp and it reads boost pressure as well. I like to keep the oil temp on the cluster. So are there any other gauges that will work and give me coolant temp.

Nothing I know via the OBDII port. The JB4 can log water temp for you but it won't show it in dash.

I have the P3 Cars gauge and haven't had any issues with it paired to my Procede. There are a number of things it doesn't show that I wish it would (oil temp, AFR, fuel pressure, fuel trim). From this thread, I am starting to think the piggybacks are why. It also has an analog boost sensor (instead of reading the can bus) and this is specific to the n54 gauge they sell.

It also reads coolant temp, ignition adv., battery voltage, boost/vacuum, 0-60 time, EGT, IAT, throttle, speed, and maybe a few others I forgot.

The p3 gauge has very limited functionality on 07 models per p3 website.
