wow... god i wish camera had better mics Click here to enlarge at least it was audible behind the plexi-glass.

awesome find man, i really hope this comes to reality. i want to see the powerband (like the dyno graph), and also how they plan on fitting all that. i like their idea for equal length headers, maybe they can make a 'medusa' to compact the kit a little bit. the way it is now, the turbos will sit outside the body lol. my jaw was dropped too when the video started

Awesome numbers! Curious to how they are going to mount in car. Wish I had the money to build engines like this.

VS is sick, but this is a straight up drag motor they said so themselves!

I also found this, not the same company but still a TT S85. Cant find more info on it yet, but those are some turbo's as well, i cannot expect that motor to make anything less then 1000whp.

    Traction from 100 mph+ only.

Unless you're at the track with slicks. At that time you will break stuff.

This is my same question, what car will it go into and why did they lower the displacement?

Heh, what makes you think I have any desire to be famous? I could care less about that, I just wanted to run a good BMW site as there weren't any.

Hi guys! I saw a comment on my YouTube channel (where the dyno movie resides) referring to this website. I'll answer the questions here.

First, VS keeps most of the R&D knowledge to himself, but I can answer what I can disclose. The rest is up to him to tell...

The displacement is lower because the block is sleeved. The engine is going into a new dragracing car, tubular chassis with a carbonfiber E92 body. If everything goes as planned, the car will debute on the drag strip next weekend... The engine is purely built for dragracing only.

    Welcome!

So this is an S85 then? So they sleeved it an decreased the bore, interesting.

I can't wait to see this drag car, it is going to be insane.

Too bad this type of motor can't go in a street car but it would probably be impossible to fit the turbos in there. Absolutely beautiful work though.

    V.S Motor BMW S85 V10 Twin Turbo - COMPLETE!

Finally guys, its about time this was done!
I have no idea as to whether this was tuned on the stock ecu or on a standalone, but it is VERY impressive.
Twin turbo setup pushing 1.8 bar (26.1psi) producing 1851bhp/1817Nm with Methanol.
They claim the engine is 4.8L, as opposed to 5.0L, is that due to a sleeved block? (I'm not sure)
    Regardless, this is $#@!ing insane...

Will be interesting to see if they can package this kit to fit into an E60/E63. It will be tough. The engine compartment is already stuffed and cooling is already a big deal when stock. My M6 hits operating temperature so much faster than my M3 did and it runs a good 10-20 degrees warmer on a hot day. On the M3 it was a rare occasion when the cooling fan would keep running after shutting the car off. On the M6 it happens almost every day. That said I would love a nice, low output turbo kit. I don't want or need 1,800 HP. I would be happy with +200hp. That's 700hp in a nose heavy car, probably already more than the chassis can really handle in terms of maintaining handling balance (which is pretty meh out of the box, the car is no M3 in the corners). Just enough to be able to dust off most of the competition.

Talk about making an entrance. 1800 HP and sounds like a 747 taking off. I wonder what car that will go in, not many chassis will be able to sustain that much power before twisting into a pretzel and roasting tires.
