Thoughts on ipt performance auto trans for turbo e46 330i?

After searching for a way to beef up the zf 5 speed auto in my 01' 330i, I came across ipt. They offer a completely built transmission for 4k+ that claims to support racing applications. I planned on going with the Technique Tuning stage 2 kit and run 8 psi. Does anyone have any info about ipt or how strong and well built this particular trans is?

Really good choice on the turbo kit, I think you will be super happy with it. With stage 2 though...you'll be able to run more than 8 psi. Click here to enlarge

I have this trans upgrade, but haven't driven the car yet with it.

Will you be testing it anytime soon? Also is it on a street daily driver or purely drag car? And do you know what they're supposed to be rated at power wise?

I'm hoping to have some seat time in the car next month...we'll see how it goes. It is a street car.

Power rating: Hard to say how the calculation is done, but I was told it should be good to 600hp....then 600whp. But I think that's just a guess....

From a practical standpoint, I can see a TT stage 2 being handled no problem with the complete IPT rebuild package. I've seen the internals, lots of new parts put in, and the assembly is flawless.

My assembly, not so flawless. LOL

I have Access to oem software of E46 330i transmission GM 5L40A.

    But not tested yet.

It might be a better idea to use a 2006 + 6 speed units.

So you are able to recalculate the checksumms?
