    +1. Inline 4s as well, but the extra displacement and no need for balance shafts on the 6 is nice.
    Boxer four's and sixes as well since the pistons are horizontally opposed they are naturally balanced. You may have been thinking V6 which is unbalanced.

    There is no reason for not running 725whp daily, but its always nice to get a real life confirmation that it has been done.
    I think we are a long way from it being "done."

    Once again, people jumping ahead. These motors have let go at far less power. Is it all fueling? We'll see I guess. 700+ and you don't even want forged pistons for daily use? Come on.

    And out of any 6 cylinder layout I would think the most stout would be the VR6.
