I mean, I feel like this is gonna have to be actually moderated to see if the neg reps are justified or just to damage some1s rating. If the regional section grew enough, I'm sure the track guys would enjoy this forum more because of how much we stress data & proof of results.

In regards to 6Speed, as long as this forum remains focused on its primary goal (technical/data based performance automotive discussion), it'll be smooth sailing.

I mean yes but now is where I need to throw money at it to take it to the next level. I'm pretty much tapped out what I can do with my bare hands.

Why would it need to be moderated as if someone wants to keep negging the same person it will affect their own rep thereby justifying that neg reps should be a group decision not individual.

Like I said, if it's justified "neg"ing -- Perfect recent example, turkeybaster's posts that got him banned from 3 separate threads. If the system just saw I kept negging him, my rep would get hurt even tho I'd have a valid reason to give him the thumbs down

Yes but it's also a community decision. I'm also toying with the idea of someone getting a certain amount of neg reps in a thread that they automatically are banned from it.

So if Turkey for example kept it up he would just get himself banned from the thread automatically.

So what prevents a group of people giving each other the "high fives" to spread their voting around and upping their positive reps while taking turns neg repping a victim?

How can you give each other high 5's when you have to spread to 10 people? And I could make it so that if you keep repping the same person specifically the spread increases.

So 10 people get together at a pizza party. They start bullshitting in a local chat thread. They give each other high fives. After each 10th positive rep they give to one of their friends (in sequence), they neg rep a victim. In the process, they've bumped their own reputation for bulshitting all day and at the same time they've slaugheterd a victim.

They are contributing activity they deserve to rep each other maybe? Plus how many reps you got a day? Factor that in with the spread and you sure better be dedicated.

It's been working fine so far. Plus I can see exactly who reps who and when. So procede at your own risk. Haha, get it?
