Yeah Yeah Yeah, hopefully my car will be done and ready in ~4 months and I'm only a few hours north of you so if your cars ever finished I'll gladly drive down to you for some friendly competition.

    Also, the 08-09's may or may not have had a bearing issue....so now your at 46k - 50k + for a 2010 +.

But again, if you buy the same year m3 and same year 335 and you mod the 335 correctly to try and make it close to m3 ALL AROUND performance (suspension, steering feel, braking, etc.) your very close in overall cost of the project to just buying a m3 and supercharging it.

    Edit: I thought you meant the m3 is 30k....just re-read your post. No a supercharger isn't 30k
over here you can get a decent enough N54 (135/335) for 40-50k

a clean M3 will cost you closer to $90k, depending on what options you want (colour etc.)

now without even modding the M, we've got $50~k to play with, that's full M suspension, subframe, the whole shebang.. and we'll still have $45k or so... high end coilovers, massive BBK, nice wheels/tires and we're down to $35k... FBO, stage 3's, driveshaft, LSD, clutch.. and you'll still have change. In Australia, you can afford to fully (well mostly at least) build your N54 powered car for the price of an M3 stock, let alone actually get the M3 roaring along with similar mods.

In theory.. once you talk about "built" the HP per $ scenario is toast.
As of now, the stg 3s are closing the gap, not taking the lead

Tell that to the people with 15-20 year old Supras & nearly 7 year old turbo E46 M3s..... It's not very often that a normal car (not the TT-Gs or GTRs) achieve drastic HP upgrades during the lifecycle because your average, aftermarket-minded customer cannot afford to heavily upgrade the car like that. Not everyone can afford to take a brand new car & take it straight to 750 WHP+, besides waiting for the proper amount of R&D to determine what it takes to mod the car to those levels. The N54 OEM engine has proven itself to be much stronger than anyone anticipated from an engine that produces 270 WHP/280 WTQ stock.

You're kidding right?? Once the ProEFI comes out (which will address fueling w/ the manifold & anti-lag with the tune's features), you'll already have the VTTS3s proving themselves on "traditional" tune cars (COBB, JB4, PROcede).

And until you're car is completed & running, it probably won't be too long until a VTTS3 takes down Drew's car at an airfield event.

I loaded up the procede with the RB turbo map before dropping it off. it will be a good starting point. I'll be doing some tweaking and Shiv will be in the mix if needed. but just for saying the word "shiv" I expect no less than 3 negative rep points.
