Would it be easier to disable the sensor or is it necessary for the airbags or something?

It is harder to code the air bag out. The part I bought is supposed to "trick" the seat to think it is all together. I need to reset the code so I will report back later this week when I go in.

I know right? I think he just has E30 fever because he just bought an immaculate 88 325is. In the service notes the master mechanic at the dealership commented saying it was the best E30 he has seen/driven in years. And it has 240k miles. drives like it has 20k miles.

Had another Saturday free and went to the future father in laws shop to adjust the front bumper. Still trying to get it just right but we did close the gap a little more than it was. Will be working on it this weekend again to hopefully get it all just right.

Sounds like you're moving in the right direction.

So if you are going to do something right, GO all the way with it. So I went full vanity and got a new custom plate.

I have a new tune from Evolve I will be installing to address the slight issue of the car running rich.

I have two updates. First update is I installed the new Evolve Tune. This was to address a slight running rich issue the car has at start. They also added a CSL rev match which does a better job than stock SMG tune.

Second update is a video, but I will post that later. I know I am mean.

Oh snap!! You got the new Evolve SMG Software?!?!

    How's the down shifting?!

Is it any different than the ESS SMG Software?

The Evolve software blimps the throttle more. The ESS software is still there and shifts the same. Just better rev matching.

First round of videos I have. Hope to have a few more from the people that were at the Wings and Wheels testing. Second video is a quick blast at a tunnel near the house.

Sorry audio is not better as all I have is the video recorder on the phone.

    Tunnel run.

First weekend I had time to clean the car and get it ready for the 500 mile drive down to bimmerfest. As it was Mothers Day I was only able to clay bar the car, clean the engine bay and polish the wheels / brake calipers. Next few nights are polish and wax the car and detail the interior.

Here is the first steps in the cleaning process.

The rag was BRIGHT yellow to start. 4 months of work and being in and out of shops makes for one dusty motor and interior.

YAY Finally done with cleaning 4 month of shop work dust off the car. Engine Bay, Interior, Trunk, Rims, Breaks, Polish, and Tires all clean. 7 hour cleaning to last about 10 minutes as it is followed by a 500 mile drive.. Oh well for that 10 minutes I will be shinny.

Here are a few images from Bimmerfest 2013. The car covered the 1100 mile adventure without skipping a beat. The only issues I had were ones that started before the trip. Need to check the resistors for the airbags and make sure they are connected as I still have the “where is the airbag light” and one of the O2 sensors is out again. I think I am going to have to have Evolve to the rears off as I have replaced both rears and the code I read said rear O2. If it is best to have them on then I need to figure out why I fired another one. For now, I have to clear the code about every 4th start.

back from being on honeymoon overseas. No car updates but I do have some fun updates. I was able to meet up with some real CSL owners and talk to them what it was like to own the car and what they do for fun across the pond. Wish I had longer to chat with them but did not want to bore the wife to tears. I will make a thread of the travels but here are the pics I got of the real CSL’s. I have a little tweaking to mine to match it up better to the real ones.

NOTE: These CSL did have AC and Radios. Seems most have creature comforts and only a few were the “hardcore ones”
