JB3 In Dash Shift Light Video

    Hey guys,

Been burning the midnight candle on CAN logic and making good progress. Can now read data as well as flash lights on the dash. I've always wanted to incorporate an adjustable shift light feature and now we finally can! A couple videos from tonight's testing with the light set at 6000rpm. Unfortunately with one hand holding the camera there were no hands left to shift on time. Click here to enlarge

Also a couple photos of the upcoming user adjustment screen. The idea is to allow you to configure the dash display how YOU like, then you can enable/disable from stock to hijacked on the fly in the car on the hazards.

wow looks pretty cool (the user interface too). props. a shift light is a great idea. i have the ones on my PSW so it may not be as useful for me and others who have one too, but for 95% of the n54 owners without one this is a pretty slick idea. terry, did you happen to take my thoughts on the matter into consideration? in a thread i started about the vishnu tach updates i mentioned some user interface ideas. maybe we're just on the same page as to how to make it ergonomic Click here to enlarge

Awesome! I can't wait... Just a suggestion and I do not know if it can/can't be done but is there a way to let the speedometer area to go brighter and flash so that it is more "in-your-face"?

Wow! didn't realize there was so much to be customized! Definitely something for temporary gauges, or if you don't want the clustered look of gauges.

Personally, I need something where I can read numbers, but this is cool nonetheless!

    Hey Terry,
I know the BT tool will always be recommended - wish I hadn't of sold mine. Anyway, will this code clearing feature enable the brave/less than brilliant to run without one? Also, sorry, off topic, can you offer any teasers on what you are planning to do with CAN and the soon to be available GIAC st. 2/2plus? I haven't asked Shiv, but, I doubt he would ever want to try to offer something to complement another competing tune. IMHO, I think it's great that you are! Thanks! If not, I understand that you can't let everything out of the bag Click here to enlarge

BT is a great tool to have and we'll continue to offer it as a package option. The idea behind the auto clear is to allow the user to opt to have detection and annoyance codes like those from a catless car to be deleted automatically. It will never replace a BT in terms of function but will address detection related concerns that many new customers have. We have a lot in the works but more ideas than time, so don't want to go in to too much detail on anything until we get closer to market with it. But like I said in another post somewhere the day of $1000 piggybacks is going to come to an end very quickly. Which is good news for everyone in the community. Click here to enlarge

That sounds like the ideal recipe. BT for true diagnosis, and, code clearing for "detection and annoyance" codes. To bad Shiv doesn't support that logic, Can't go wrong with a BT with any tune or no tune at all.

Cool stuff. Looks like a very clean, intuitive software interface too.

Good deal! Now it should be/will be much much easier to shift at 62k, which was always a problem for me since im always watching everything else.

I am REALLY curious about the TMS function.. anything to show on that yet Click here to enlarge
