    PTF E45 Tuned 335i Track Results - 118.53 ET

I have been working with Jake at Pro Tuning Freaks over the past couple of months on an E45 tune. About a week ago, he informed me that he thinks that we are done as the car looks very happy based on the logs he has seen. Tonight I had the opportunity to head down to Bradenton to hit up the strip.

I went with the goal of breaking into the 11's for the first time. Keep in mind that this was only my third trip ever to the track so I am still a rookie hence my 60' times. According to dragtimes.com the DA was -755 and temps were in the upper 40's. Notable car number = 69

Here are a few slips from tonight. I left somewhat disappointed that I didn't break into the 11's but the car is definitely running strong.

If you have been considering getting a pro-tune, I highly recommend the guys at PTF. The tuning experience has been the best purchase I have made for this car yet.

Get your 60 down & you'll be in the 11s. How was traction off the line?? Since you're a 6AT it should take too long to nail down the launch

Nice numbers. Yea, been working on my 93 map with them but works prevent me from getting them a log in about 3 weeks. As soon as it gets warm, I will have them work on my E50 map.

Whats your estimate on the whp you are making? I am assuming FMIC, DCI, and DPs?
    2015 - Cayman GTS - Stock
    2011 - 335is e92 - Cobb PTF E40/Rob Beck/AR/Helix (458 rwtq and 479 rwhp) - Retired
    2007 - 911 Turbo - EP1/AMS (617 awtq and 500 awhp) - Retired
    2008 - 335i e92 - Cobb/AR/Helix/OSS (384 rwtq and 356 rwhp) - Retired
    2003 and 2005 330i/ci zhp - Stock - Retired

Traction wasn't too bad. I just have a tough time easing into the throttle once the light hits green.

Looks great!! Some more launch practicing and you are looking at 11s pretty easy! Anthing sub 2.0 would get you in the 11s. I want to try one more thing. What tires were you on? Was this on your 19s?

Thanks Jake. I just sent you an email a few minutes ago. Tires are General G-Maxx AS-03's on my 19's. I seemed to have picked up 1 mph by reducing the rear PSI from 35 to 25.

lighter, smaller DIA wheels, and better tires will def get you deep into the 11s. Great trap speed.

Brake boosting at around 2k RPM's from 2nd. It's not off the line as much as once I hit boost that I spin.

Secondary cats are still in place as the factory exhaust was hacked off at the rear axel. I am hitting between 18.5-19 psi's.

You are running that in the mid range but tapering to around 15psi up top. Cant really ask a whole lot more of the factory turbos.

Pretty big difference between the PTF map and the OTS map, congrats man.

Now I need to snag up another Cobb AP soon as my car feels like a 128i without a tune. Click here to enlarge

My bad. I misunderstood the question. I am hitting 18.8 at 4847 RPM's tapering off to 13.45 at 6421 RPM's in 3rd. Shifted a little late this run.

You have 2 choices. DR's or install an LSD, to drop that 60' to 1.6-1.9. For every .1 seconds you can take off your 60', your et will drop approximately 1.5 sec.

Uh 1.5 sec? I am assuming the decimal place is off by one to the left and that was a typo.
