But yes, it is impressive. Would have liked to see the rolling speed and 3 honks and such, but it shows the power regardless.

Man I missed this event but I wont next time. Roman's car ran very well. I hope he gets the VT600 running on 93pump when Robert gets the ESS kit on his stroker M3.

    Nice long empty roads too.

I personally can't wait for that stroker SC to be finished... there is a low compression build here that should be done around the same time.

Nice! We definitely need to setup a meet or maybe get together at Bimmerfest.

When the stroker ESS M3 is done, we are hoping to make a few vids of it racing against my car and doing more 60-130 runs, upon its completion. Should be awesome!

More details about this "stroker m3" that is getting a SC. So, does it have a dinan or RD stroker kit?? Or, are there others?

Good to see you over here posting!

It's an RD stroker kit, with an ESS tune now. Here is the 1st comparo vids I've seen from PG's car! Very impressive, but I am very surprised at the E60 M5 outcome, as PG ran a 11.0 - 11.49 60-130, an E60 M5 runs anywhere from 10.4 - 11.6 and PG's stroker pulled good. Good to finally see some pulls Robert, nice job!

I think the 60-130 runs for the tall gear box stroker will be closer to 11.7 because I think I screwed up how I interpreted the VBox file. I don't understand why I clip the file to exactly 60-130 MPH and VBox tools says the run is 11.49S, but when I go to report generator, and "SCAN" the file, it says 11.71S. I now have the 60-130 runs that the ESS guys collected, but I can tell they weren't even pushing the car because the shift times look like they are more than 1/2 second. So when I get home tonight (late), I'll go through all of it and figure out which run to post.

Also, Roman sent me the complete video of the stroker vs. the M5. In the first run, it was much closer, in fact it was neck and neck until some point, the stroker pulled away strong and then left the M5 in the dust just like the first video. I'll definitely post up the whole video tonight if I get the time. If not tonight, tomorrow night.

So, you are Robert with the RD stroker kit?? If so, how happy were you with the overall performance of the stroker kit versus a max "bolt-on" stock s65 engine M3?? I guess, I am asking would you recommend a friend to buy the kit??

I would highly recommend the stroker kit in a heartbeat for anybody with the money. But that's the catch, as you know it's very expensive.

I just found out that the stroker pulled away from the M5 in the first video after the M5 misshifted. So I guess there's no point in posting a known-bogus run. But until the misshift, the M5 was basically even with the stroker.

How do you misshift an SMG? Click here to enlarge or was it a manual..

It might have been manual. Roman said there was a misshift, then it wouldn't immediately go into 4th. Sounds like a manual to me.

If it was a manual it would be slower then most M5's also. Since they share the same final drive ratio. I think it was an SMG because he said it wouldn't immediately go into 4th.. which doesn't make sense unless it was a SMG malfunction.

But how does that happen with an SMG? Are they known to have problems like this?

Yep. My buddy with the X5M had that issue with the SMG and hated his M5 for that. And I've heard a good amount of people complain about it.
