    Question about N54 Displacement?

So.. it has a bore and stroke of 84mm and 89.6mm respectively

it has a displacement of 2979 cubic centimetres

but an 84mm*89.6mm cylinder has a volume of 529.645cc or a total capacity (6 cylinders) of 3178cc

so there's 199 cc gone somewhere, or 33.16 per cylinder

can anyone explain how this works exactly?

ED: derp i was doing it wrong, nveer mind me... had the bore and stroke swapped -_-
