I'm the same way. Plus with the new Google maps on the iPhone that has voice over bluetooth nav, I'll put the directions in, check the general route, then once I get close, open up maps and let the voice tell me where to go. Don't even bother looking at the phone screen.

    back to cars you $#@!heads...

I have a serious question. Why would you not consider the new stingray for a sports car, interior aside, it pretty much checks all the boxes now, and I hated vettes from 82 onward...but this new one, its purty cool for the doe..

    Vette stigma.
    American.
    No exclusivity.

Other than that, I can't think of anything. Great value, styling, performance, everything.

yea I hear you, especially the stigma thing, but its is turned a corner on appealing to a younger set/nich I think now, it leaves the old one in the dust, and, its going to be rather exclusive for at least 3 years...American made, I think its a valid point too, but its also come a long way the last decades, I mean, you could have in your driveway right now, if you live on a street of BMW's, Mercedes, Porsche and Ranger Rover, if you had a new Stingray, a Caddy CTS-V Manual, (Wagon) and the Grand Cherokee SRT, you would have money left over fro a vintage car, and trip to Pebble Beach concourse every summer Click here to enlargeand keep up the jones no problemo

Agreed, they accomplished their goal here.

I don't see how. They will be everywhere with the production volume. Plus GM's financing and the cheap base price to begin with and it's highly accessible although obviously it won't be where the C6 is now at first.

It's also possible though that you can have the BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and still due to vacations and trips. However, point about value is valid but that also works to the prestige detriment of the American cars which contributes to the stigma of the guy with the mid-life crisis and gold chain buying it versus the Porsche 911 owner. That part has not and really can't be solved but the younger crowd won't care.

I haven't used my idrive nav in well over a year. Google/Apple maps does a great job. I think the e92 interior looks way better with the screen but honestly I wouldn't really care if I didn't have it now. I sit in front of a computer screen for 8 hours a day already so it would be nice to get away from that in the car. But BMW is being tricky and integrating lots of cool stuff in idrive now (to the tune of $2k though)

It's better than Japanesse stigma....idiots all over have been buying GT-R's and sucking the cock of Nissan. What people do not realize is that Nissan(Datsun) was the Kia/Hyundia of the late 1970's LOL. I would take a C6 ZR1 or a new C7 over a $#@!ing junk GT-R any day of the week.

Nissan/Datsun of the late 70s does not make the GTR a bad car...old habits die hard I guess, but I don't know a single person who thinks "70s datsun" when talking about current Nissans. Except those jamokes on top gear UK

What you think would be better: toyo r888s or Michelin pss. They are about the same. I only put on like 3-4k miles a year and I'm thinking I need better rear tires for the 1/2 event. Thoughts?
