To be really fair. Bush got to play for 8 years, so wouldn't it be fair to give Obama his extra 4 too? LOL.

We don't just give someone 4 years because someone else got it.

    What a horse$#@! debate!

None of what they said fixes what ails us. Someone said, there O goes blaming Bush again! Of course he brings up Bush, he left the country a $#@! sandwich to eat, but in the same breath bring up Ronald reagan as the paragon of a good president. Well Reagan turbocharged (I got a boost reference in!) budget deficits with his supply side economics. The dems then bring up Clinton as a paragon of a good president that left us with a budget surplus created on the back of a stock market bubble, that in case anyone has forgotten was crashing as he left office. One side says that O had two years of total control and didn't fix all that was wrong. Give me a break, America still hasn't recovered from the stock market bubble, much less the housing bubble, unless you are a player and most of America isn't. We are probably currently in a bond bubble that will be just as messy when central banks around the world pop it.

The employment problem of the middle class is a direct result of globalization. The government policy of having our manufacturing base compete against the rest of the world willing to work for $0.70/hour pretty much destroyed the middle. Let's see what would happen if this country allowed Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, etc to compete globally, rather than a protected class? Result upper income class destroyed.

Entitlements are also not the problem. The government policy of taking the Social Security trust fund and using it for the government budget, I believe during LBJ's presidency, has cratered that program. The IOU's the government gives to the SSA are impacting the budget in a major way, so instead of getting their house in order they want to cut/gut tinker with the program. Medicare/medicaid is about to swamp the entire federal budget (this has been known for years), but it is an overlay program on the $#@!ty way we deliver healthcare in this country. If we paid as much for health care in this country as other advanced nations (they pay about half what we pay and get better health outcomes), we would be running budget surpluses. If the military spent the money they get better, rather then getting more to spend, we would be better off (how much has the F22/F35 cost so far for no return, how about subs crashing into ships).

The Fed is trying to do through monetary policy what the congress is gutless to do through fiscal policy, so QE's forever. And so we have ignorant asses talking about marxism, socialism, communism, birtherism,... whatever as if that will lead to a resolution of the country's ills....FTW.

Rant off, let me wipe the mouth foam off my keyboard, take my adderall and go down to the garage to polish my wheels. Click here to enlarge

    It's a good rant.

I just keep feeling like everything is $#@!ed and those in charge are going to screw everything up beyond repair if we aren't already there.
