    100% e85 screenshot q's

Ok so I'm fbo pretty aggressive timing 14 up top and 17ish max boost to 15ish at redline. Been running full e85 now for few thousand miles and all seems well. But noticed stfts getting little higher lately. No codes and fuel scaler set at 1.3 afrs set lambda mid 12s and no knock. Am I missing something? Everyone keeps talking about crazy trims and trouble with full e85.

So this 100% E85 stuff is really catching on.

Nobody is concerned about the stock fuel system not being designed for E85?

I've been running 50/50 at all times for four months. Just recently I stopped as I have a low fuel pressure sensor problem. I would have my concerns regarding the stock fueling system, but the sensor is a pretty common part to replace and the symptoms I'm experiencing are not limited to E85 use. Once I replace that I'll be back to 50/50.

A couple people have had hardware issues such as LPFP, Fuel Pressure Sensor, HPFP but nothing so consistant that we can directly point to e85. Terry at BMS is having some sort of fuel hardware issue right now on the 135i. I ran 50/50 e85 on my JB4 G4 board for 6 months with no issues. I have some issues now with the G5 board and fuel trims so i've backed off to 30% and all is ok for now. Not sure if it's software related or signs that something hardware related is about to fail. I had the fuel pressure sensore replaced a couple of months ago, BMW said that's what was causing my cold start misfires that I had long before I started using e85. For now, I'll let you guys test out this 100% e85 and sit back and watch your progress.

Ya every fill upClick here to enlarge. Kinda strange though maybe its more like e70 cuz like I said I'm only setting my scaler to 1.3. But I'm also on stock turbos. I know dfv2 was having some problems but he said he was also running stock trims. I set mine as u can see mid 12s across the board and all is well. I do have a new hpfp and all new injectors at about 10000 miles ago though. I'll post another screen shot of lpfp and hpfp here in a little

Ouch, can you scale the LPFP requested the same as LPFP actual? If you get a chance id also like to see IPW/IDC (whatever the hell its labeled). Im assuming that the DME is just pumping IDC up to fuel the best it can given the lower than requested fuel pressures. DME never ceases to amaze.

How much power is this making? The fuel pressure drops dramatically when you go below 50psi on the LP side or so. I wouldn't be surprised if you turned up the boost or got a few more mods in that you'd see FP drop and trims spike. Additionally the "E85" mix can be a crap shoot at times varying with different concentrations.

Are you on the original LPFP?

Agreed, the STFT spike behavior I witnessed is a DME knee-jerk, and I run a little less boost on the same tune and prove out perfect trims like the OP did - it's a fine line on the high ethanol class I stuff my station has now (~90% ethanol).

Ya stock lpfp, and the lpfp trim req is the line waay down at the bottom. I'm not sure why virtual dyno did that. Virtual dyno saying 451hp and 460trq. And ya lulz_m3 I'll try and log that tonight but I gotta take car into shop tomorrow for wastegate rattle bs.
