    I was going to post a smart ass comment but I have refrained lmao.

    What exactly do you mean by using the phone in the e46? Bluetooth? Is your car bluetooth enabled?

    I have iPod integration in my e46 sedan. I can select tracks via the stereo controls on the steering wheel but it doesn't allow me to search just goes 1 track at a time or skips ahead 10 tracks if you hold the button down. The iPod fits in the glove box and is out of sight though. It's not the best solution IMO but it gets the job done
