Look how far behind other forums are with S65 tuning info compared to BimmerBoost

I was browsing the various BMW forums as I always do looking for info and I just started laughing as I usually do when I read a certain forum. This post was made by the moderator, who should be up to date on what is going on:

There are a lot of opportunities to achieve this:

    supercharged:

ESS: seem to have a great scalable kit.
Gintani: works quite well, needs more psi to achieve power compared to ESS.
    G-Power: reputation issue.
AA: looks good, but much more information would be needed.

In general, SC noise will be an issue.

    na:

Various ECU tunes are available. Still no flash @ home capability.

    - Use good gas.
    - Intake upgrades will come down to use a high-flow intake air-filter.
    - Midpipe seems to provide most power gains ( by deleting secondary catalysts only ).
    - By deleting the primary catalysts you will gain another ~ +8 whp.
    - Muffler upgrade will gain 3-5 whp, if any.
    - ECU tunes / Black Boxes will be needed to support deleted or changed primary catalysts configurations.
    - ECU tunes provide power gains as well.
    - Power pulleys help.
    - Water / water-meth configurations have still to be applied and to be tested. Compatibility to the knocking-system of the S65 ?
What is sad about this is that people will read this and actually believe what is stated here. It should be a crime to feed people this drivel.

Guy claims Gintani needs more boost compared to ESS based on nothing. He doesn't even post any support for it, just states is as if it is fact. Drew wrote an excellent, technically sound article on the subject which shows in efficiency it is actually ESS that is slightly behind: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...i-Stg-2-Kit-is

This same info was locked on the forum in question because it exposed the truth and contradicted a moderator who attempted to portray the ESS setup as more efficient. When that erroneous information was put up, it was allowed to be left open for all to view even though it was incorrect. When the correct, technically sound and supported efficiency info was put up by Drew, it was stifled. Now this guy in the quoted post here is perpetuating the baseless claims and that is allowed to go on since it is pro-ESS. How can people be so blind?

Now, he goes on to say there is no flash at home capability. Welcome to three weeks ago when EZ Flash by OE Tuning was announced: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...5304#post25304 This guy is so far behind the S65 tuning scene it is embarrassing.

He then goes on to say that meth setups have yet to be applied or tested. Huh? What? Welcome to last year when people were running meth without issues. How about taking a look at Ricky's dyno results with meth to get up to speed on the topic: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...ight=kid+block

How can this blatantly false info be allowed to be spread by a mod? What makes this all even more frustrating is that this guy asks the same damn question every month and makes it pro-ESS every single time. Hasn't he gotten his answer yet? His mind is already made up on the ESS supercharger yet he keeps creating pro ESS threads asking what supercharger he should get just to have it confirmed yet again. Why is he working for ESS?

I mean look, this was a thread in march:

This should provide around 500bhp and 520nm crank and would be very reliable. Nice performance bump for my daily commuter . If such a configuration would be possible, what would be the list price for such a product ( US$ 10 - 11k would be ideal pricing from my point of view ) ? Background for my discussion / request is that I would like to get the best SC kit available for my M3, street legal where I live. I'm limited to +20% power above stock to keep the car street-legal and have to keep the OEM catalysts.

G-Power provides such a product, their Stage I, it's in the US$ 12 -13k price range. And they drill a hole into your engine ( SC oil support ), which I absolutely want to avoid.

ESS supercharged BMWs for years, if not decades. IMO they have best experience in this technology.
He says ESS is the best, wow, big shock, what a fair evaluation of the options when you already state what is the best in the opening post.

Last month he created a thread stating this:

ATM I would prefer to start with the ESS VT1 and in case I really want/need more power to upgrade to VT2.
He says he wants ESS yet again, wow, big shock.

Just 2 weeks after that he creates another thread saying he is in the market and which system he should get:

I would appreciate Roman chiming in, as well as in the ESS VT1 vs ESS VT2
I mean, how much more blatant can using this mod marketing for ESS be ? How pathetic is it? Why is it allowed? This is why we have BimmerBoost gentlemen, where you have the up to date info and no bought off mods creating the same thread every couple weeks trying to shove an SC down your throat.

Moral of the story is I havent gotten the attention on most forums for my tunes on the s65 sc kits. Being that I am the master mind of all the kits. I post here about this for a reason. Those mods lack the vast amounts of knowledge needed to post on the subject. OP good job showing the truth here. This forum rapes it with e90 knowledge.

There's some really good stuff here, and great enthusiasts as well, one thing I've noticed about you, regardless of the tuner you give credit where it's due!

At the same boost level and without any other major supporting mods, all of the kits will arrive in about the same place. ESS and Gintani especially since their hadware is similar both using Vortech blowers. The T-Trim Gintani uses actually has a higher efficiency ratings as stated from Vortech than the V3 ESS uses. The YSI Vortech blower is even higher than either.

"e.n335" the mystery moderator who just appeared out of nowhere is now hyping his data logging product. Is he a moderator or a sponsor? Where did he come from? He sure seems to know a lot about ESS...

I believe he had a 335i he was working on for a while and was a mod on the N54 side of the house. If I am correct he ended up trading over to an m3 this year and moved to that forum with his mod status.

Was curious why you deleted this as I think it is accurate, isn't it?
