    Dyno Update: M5 put down 546 whp / 453 tq - Stock motor @ 9 psi

    Hey guys,
The car recently put down 516/424 @ 9 psi.
I wanted to share that after adding a pre-compressor meth injection nozzle in addition to the main post-compressor nozzle, and also upgrading to the UUC V12 lightweight flywheel, the car made 546/453. Same dyno, same test conditions, same gear (5th). Was honestly very surprised with the gain, and was excited to share the results.

Yes. No other modifications. Same dyno, gear, and conditions. Was running meth already, just added a pre-compressor nozzle.

Well seems the point of injection makes a huge difference. That's a nice pickup this is more like it!

Edit: just catching up on your other install/dyno thread.

Careful spraying an atomized liquid in front of a compressor wheel. I know of several that tried spraying meth pre-turbo - granted wheel speed is potentially 2-3x the rpm - but the blades quickly showed signs of deterioration. Great gains nonetheless!

You mind sharing your timing curve? Nice gain. I will have to look up your original thread.

Car was tuned by Jeremy of OE tuning. I don't know how the timing curve is different compared to stock.

Would you post a pic or explain where you placed the pre-blower nozzle, I am doing the same upgrade to my existing meth setup. Also what meth kit?

I apologize for the delayed response, my second baby girl was born into this world last week!
Vanos was untouched, and the pre-compressor nozzle was installed roughly 6 inches from the compressor wheel. The aem kit supplies 130, 315, and 550cc/min nozzles rated at 150psi. The newest kits use a 250 psi pump, which can increase flow up to 25%. I used ye 130cc nozzle pre-compressor, and the 550cc on the charge pipe. I used 3 bottles of Heet mixed with -20 windshield washer fluid. I began the meth injection at 2-3 psi with full pump pressure at 8 psi.

Anymore questions are surely welcomed, and I will be sure to respond more quickly now.

    Any concern about pre-comressor spraying?

Omni sold the set up to me a few weeks ago. The wheel looks fine, though I am probably going to use solely the 550cc nozzle post-blower for now. I may reincorporate the 130cc nozzle again at some point and do some testing to see if it's beneficial, although I doubt during the cold months it will be necessary. Currently evaluating tuning options and should have it all sorted out and installed in a few weeks.

Free up cash flow. I have a project car I am trying to move forward with. The ESS kit was a first step with this car. Next setup will be a turbo build.
