45mph avg, 25mpg avg. City driving would definitely kill things. Also note that my results are over 8,000ft ASL, so I usually get 5-10% improvement in MPG compared to sea level, at the expense of power.

I did quite a bit of testing a couple of weeks ago. I did the logs I posted above with 50/50 e85/93 no meth map 5. Later I'll post the 93 oct, map 3 meth 60/40 logs/VD. I also did map 5 FUA=1 and sprayed meth on map 5 with 50/50 e85 and some map 3 with 50/50 e85/93 and 60/40 meth. I was using a 70 add and targeting 19.5 psi peak and ~16 at redline. Even with a 15 ohm board the results were a little inconsistant. Sometimes I would hit the 19.5 psi other times I wouldn't. I couldn't hold more than 15 psi at redline. I would say that if targeting higher boost levels race gas is probably a much better solution than e85 mix but really it could have been anything not just the e85. I'll be out of the net for a month or so but when I get back I'll have a G5 waiting for me and we'll see if I can consistantly hit the 19.5 psi peak (hoping for 20 psi actually) and keep the boost curve higher through the midrange tapering to 15 psi at redline with e85. Once that testing is done I'll put some race gas in and see if the car performs significantly better or not.

for me, max speed for greater than 30mpg is 68mph (indicated) with a 50/50 mix. Before, the max speed was 77mph (indicated) with 93 octane. MPG definately took a big dip.

To be honest, My butt dyno (and also the log of the timing curve) can't tell the difference between a 30% mix and a 50% mix, even in FL humidity, but from my experience: the less ethanol content, the better MPG. 30% may be optimal medium for all we know.

So the attached VD are from a Map 5 e85 pull (blue line) and a map 5 FUA=1 (spraying meth on map 5) pull. Map 5 looks like it's maxing boost around 17.5 psi. A very small gain by using FUA=1. I will tell you though, it is SO smooth. Much smoother than map 3. I think if the tune wouldn't max the boost out it would be really fast. Map 5 FUA=1 log to follow. Click here to enlarge

Maybe T can chime in on 5soko logs but it looks like it was targeting a conservative boost target. Pwm was no where near maxed and boost target was only ~16 peak. Did you pump the e85 first? Did it have time to mix? I've never ran map 7 but I think it should be targeting a higher peak psi even on an 18 ohm board. Something just doesn't seem right to me.

I would recommend logging AFR next time. Judging from the logs your engine/turbos have a lot left in them. I guess the only logical next step is meth. LOL

That map 7 log i posted was the first time i ever ran it, and that was the first run that i logged, so might be able to pick up a lil more once adapted. I have AFR logged just didnt put them on the jpg. i posted... Looking around at other map 7 logs, they seem to be around same boost level as mine, so im not sure. Map5 as you can tell from the log i posted seems to be close on boost level with Map7, i might need a custom map to get more boost.. Who knows. I have a few freidnly races coming up at the end of the week so id def love to have the most boost i can for this E85 mix i got.

Thats wierd, I could of sworn I had Ign advance checked. Give me a sec...As far as Throttle the first log I wasn't WOT as you can see by the lower boost. I was still getting used to the jb4 after switching over from cobb ST map where ~60-75% throttle would give full boost.

Here you go, and I probably had all the traction control nannies on so that may be why Throttle isn't a flat line??? My car also is AT so I was trying to not hit the kickdown.

I know its an apples to oranges comparison, but what are your impressions of the JB4 vs Cobb? Were you Cobb S2+?

I don't see a reason why that new map5 shouldn't be stronger than the stg2+. Keep in mind, stg2+ was made for pump 93 octane, not meth not e85 mixing.

I realize that, i was just answering lulz question. Cobb doesnt have meth/e85 ots maps out yet and i wasnt about to wait around forever for them. Im not knocking cobb, its a great tune and im not planing on selling it anytime soon.

Well it looks like i might be getting protuned soon, plan on getting a 93+ Meth map for DD'ing, and im still debating on whether to go MS109 +meth or just do an E85/93 +meth map. Leaning more towards the E85/93 mix since im still on the stock clutch, which im afraid may not make it through tuning LOL. What kind of power did you stock clutch hold dzenno?

My stock clutch started slipping when I was FBO+meth on 93. It just couldn't hold. When I took it out, it looked great and had a lot of life left on it.

GIAC will not be doing E85 maps soon, because of the different knock properties of E85 compared with gasoline... wonder if Cobb has similar thoughts. Apparently they have seen (other platforms I take it) continue to advance without sensing knock... so a more severe detonation I guess. Would like to know more.
