Perhaps if someone is dealing in knockoffs and not original parts but I guess this is an OEM part?

I'm surprised IND didn't get it to fit perfectly.

yeah those inner lights look flush, i dont get why they gave up and did a sloppy job? the trunk is from vorsteiner also but i dont think that would affect anything either the 2008 oem inner lights fit perfectly in the new trunk....

notice how dusty it is also..this is because when i arrived the car wasnt ready was sitting outside dirty as $#@!, but i let them wash it and after about half hour to and hour it comes out and the trunk is sitting uneven so another hour/hour and a half to make the trunk fit again....such a hassle probabily the last time im going down there, oh yeah its a two hour drive from where i live also...

IND is a real quality shop so I don't get it.

I would suggest posting in their forum here that you are not happy and want it redone. I would like to see how they handle this and I'm sorry for that as it just does not look like it is sitting properly.

That is up to you, I think they owe you properly fitted LCI taillights.

I have never seen IND do anything other than amazing work so I'm sure they would work with you to make things right. The only input I can really offer though is that on my carbon fiber trunk the tail light fitment was a bit rough because the carbon fiber was thicker than the steel. Maybe some sanding/trimming would be required.

I am extremely sorry to see that you had such a bad experience. I will speak to the body shop staff now and work out a solution.

Guys, IND is still the best...
This is one SMALL mistake on one project out of hundreds if not thousands of much larger projects that they have completed to date.
It was probably a new tech who didn't know what he was doing.
I am glad to see Ilia reply so kindly and quickly, and hopefully the whole situation will be resolved ASAP.

Again, this absolutely should not have happened. I'm not sure why the gap exists, and I apologize that the car was not clean and ready for pickup when you arrived at the shop. I know you traveled from far away to come to our facility, and I also know that you could work with other shops much nearer to you.

With that in mind, I would like to address the issue. Because you live far away, what I could do is pay your travel expenses to come down here (gas, food, etc), and we will make the necessary adjustments to the trunk and tail lights. If that does not work, you could PM me and we could work out another solution.

Once again, I apologize for the mistake.

This sounds stand up and reasonable.

This is just another example of why I wish we had a shop like IND or MAC on the east coast. When my second vehicle got broken into outside of the shop I used to install my coilovers (at double the quoted price) their primary concern was me getting the vehicle off of their lot. Goodluck getting everything rectified op and post up the final result when you get a chance. LCI lights on an e92 are hawt

Alarm coded, lights coded, trunk lights reinstalled, trunk lid reinstalled....Click here to enlarge

yes the front splitters are painted to match body color

Next up: molding front splitters to bumper and remove reflectors, order and mold diffuser to rear bumper which i will be calling IND to do in the future....but first and foremost I need to get the car re-flashed because all the coding removed my Powerchip tune so I'll be going with the OE tune before any more body work Click here to enlarge
