    Drove this today

At first, I was like holllly $#@!. Click here to enlarge

But as time went on, it was less and less thrilling. A bit of a porker too, and didn't handle or feel as refined as a bimmer.

Still a bad ass car though. But it did get a bit boring after an hour or so and wasn't particulary nibble when trying to light up some turns.

Looking at a car to replace my second car (Charger), and the Camaro is on the list. We'll see where it takes me.

In the car as we speak. It runs 19k for the kit and bumps the horsepower up to 590 at the crank. Thats underrated right now because I put some race gas in there and it seems like 550 hp to the wheels. It took some getting used to and now im gonna go flog this car. Then ill post my review in an hour.

You should look into the Track Pack Mustang 5.0 much better car in every way.

    Okay, here is my review

Weight. Close to 500 pounds heavier then the 335i, its definetely noticeable in the turns. It just felt weird pushing through turns at first. I think that was also due to the shape of the hood, but it was definetely not as peppy throughout the turns as the 335 or m3. Also, this Hennessy kit was pushing around 550 to the wheels, so there was a little learning curve.

Brakes. Brembo 4 pistons. Need I say more? Could stop on a dime.

Power. This was the HPE600 Kit, making 600 at the crank. A nice amount of power, but there seemed to be a bit drivetrain loss. The exhaust and sound of the blower was $#@!ing INCREDIBLE. I was playing with a Lambo on the way home, and this car can hold its on. The workmanship seemed a bit shotty, but what can you expect?

Interior. Pretty good. Nothing like a BMW, but it was decent nevertheless.

Overall: The blower made the car $#@!ing fast. I know its a supercharger, but I wish there was two settings (street and race) somehow. Overall, real head turner.

I think he has one setup that is with a built motor putting out a ton of power. I could of sworn that was the car in a magazine comparison against a modded GT500 and Challenger.

    Found this interesting vid:

    And probably injector sizing.

Can wait to see what the new Mustangs can do with a proper FI kit. I can't decide if I'd be more excited for a twin-turbo or positive displacement blower setup.
The cool thing is, considering it is a Mustang, it will have the best of both worlds!

    Sticky,

The first video you posted is pretty accurate. The Camaro sucks in turns and doesn't feel secure at all. It also takes quite a bit to hook up, as with any FI car.

I didn't drive the Mustang, but the Mustang looks and probably feels so much better then the Camaro. The camaro simply didn't feel nimble at all. Great in the straight line, but I like a better reaction from the car in corners and the twisties.

It would be cool if Hennessy puts the blower outside of the hood, just like this picture.

Hey Unfor, great review. I'm questioning if the feel is the same for a stock Camaro SS - seeing as it won't be pushing as much, but in terms of the handling and actual feel for the car.

There are plenty of single turbo options. The Mustang is just badass.

    Mustang > Camaro

I want to go test drive a Mustang now.

The other problem with the Camaro is that it was hard to really flog some hard turns. It was great in the straight line, not so great elsewhere.

I want to drive the Mustang as well but I'm afraid I would want it.

It won't be that great in the turns either with its solid rear axle but supposedly it is better handling than the Camaro anyway. The new 5.0 outhandles the camaro easily.

The camaro was a complete porker in the turns.
