I will be installing my CMGS VC2 kit with dual CM7 and CM5 setup and will advise as to my results. I am stoked, this kit goes in on Wednesday and will complete my power adders until I decide on new turbos.

The other cool discussion point is would it be better to run two smaller nozzles to get the same output of one larger nozzle. I would speculate that two smaller nozzles would provide better atomization then one large nozzle at the same flow rates.

Would love to hear Dave's view.

I am not a fan of running multiple nozzles unless you need to.

Anyone have experience with the Coolingmist kit? I was considering purchasing a kit from Terry.

I bought a DO kit, and wanted to try another nozzle style. Now I have both and upgraded to a dual nozzle set-up. Put a DO # 7 and a M3 in to get 10. Now I am running two #5s, one old cm nozzle and one new cm nozzle. I haven't noticed any significant difference in car performance but the the spray pattern is visibly more desirable for sure. I have been happy with both nozzle styles. I would recommend trying the new nozzles to see what you find.

This is pure marketing. The nozzle goes inside of a 2.5 in diameter tube LOL. There will be zero difference in power if the tune is capable of sustaining exact parameters for back to back runs.

The new CM nozzles are great. But due to the extremely high cost are relegated to baller status. No common BMW owner can possibly afford one so they will need to live with the cheaper older style nozzles. Click here to enlarge

I installed a basic CMGS kit for a customer of mine, he wasnt pushing it at 17psi, he was using at 14-16psi in hot weather...LM says its like a huge power difference with it on and off, and I have yet to feel this 'kick'

maybe its because the boost isnt turned up enough??

At 14psi you might not see much but at 16psi I'd expect 20rw over 93 octane.

it was definitely flowing. I topped the tank off and after about 10 min on the road I pulled over and checked in the trunk and the tank was almost at the 1/2 level.

The problem is that it was done along with every other bolt on mod....intake downpipes JB3 and intercooler so maybe I couldnt distinguish it? We werent going crazy with the car either....local driving no highway.

I bet once I get it in the GT2 I should really feel the power...

did you log and watch IAT's drop? i had mine installed for 2 months thinking it was flowing well, only to later find out it was flowing out from 2 leaks in the line, one under car, one under the hood and maybe a few drops were getting into the motor.. which is why i ask..

1/2 tank in 10 min? How big is the tank? Sounds more like a leak.

Nope no leaks. I ran the system one line from into the trunk and into the engine bay. I checked beforehand and during testing. We were going WOT up to about 110 repeatedly...he has the smaller nozzle in there as well.

I checked for spray afterwards into a bucket when we got back and it was spraying great. While doing so I checked for leaks and there was none. Its only the 150psi pump as well.

Like I said, maybe it's because we did all the bolt ons at once and my butt dyno couldn't sense it. Not having a 335 anymore of my own to compare to, I didn't really get much seat time in his car.

He says the car is stupid fast...so I guess for him it works.

He has the 2 gallon tank setup. I mean to me I thought we were out for 10 min but maybe we were out longer?

2 gallon tank? Something is not right matt. I am not questioning your work, but it simply makes zero sense. I have a do10 nozzle and I am currently using the DO 2.5 gallon tank, and that thing will last me several weeks. Back when I had a 3 quart tank, I can run it 3/4 dry in about 6-8 40-140 pulls, but thats expected.

I mean half a tank in 10 min? Even assuming it was spraying for 10 min straight on a smaller nozzle (guessing m7?) 440ml/min, roughly 3800ml in a gallon. 3800ml/440ml per min is roughly 8.6 min. I highly doubt you were floored for 10 min straight lol.

yeah i think I was out for longer than I said I was. I will check again when he comes into the shop and see, he says the car feels great. I know he had a bit of an issue with the flow sensor working and and displaying the rate on the gauge, but he said he got it running right ( we were short on time before he had to leave for work)

I will call him now and ask him.

It's a great kit. As good as anything else we've tested and we tested most of the major ones including DO. Just as a warning laloosh has been attacking that CM kit for as long as I can remember on forums. So this isn't the best place to ask that question. You'll get quite a few haters including the guy laloosh sold his defective kit to. Click here to enlarge

Why would you sell a defective kit knowing it is defective?
