    REVIEW: S65 M3 Ebay/ "Speed Daddy" X-Pipe/Mid Pipe

So, Im kinda cheap when it comes to basic things. I also dont like the idea of leaving even 5-10 free HP on the table if I dont have to, and that 5-10 could be 20-30 once Im S/C'd.

Already have turner test pipes, they work great. But I wanted more, cant help but feel 2ndary cats along stock exhaust piping are holding back some..

My only stipulation was it needed to be resonated. A few of the knock-offs were as cheap or cheaper, but this is the only one that had resonators. A few ebay "Offers" and I had this piece of hardware for a mere $460 SHIPPED!

For sure I felt the quality is not going to be that great, and fitment, well, you get what you pay for...

Right now I can only speak on initial impressions of quality (they arrived today while I was already out)

I dont think its that bad at all, I was rather impressed actually:

    INSTALL

As promised, I installed these today. Having a lift available is a huge help. The Hobby shop on base opened at 9am, i was lifted and starting at 9:15. I was backing the car out of the bay by 11:20.

What Im trying to say is fitment was 99.99% perfect!

DAMN! Sorry guys, the pics are all out of order and its not letting me reorganize them. but they are all there

Basically, I think its well worth it. exhaust is VERY loud now. But drone is only slightly more than before. Overall Im very pleased.

The only issue I had was the 2 front 02 sensors. the heat shiel had to be bent back slightly by hand to get the proper angle for install. other than that, everything was spot on

Looks great - especially for the price. Can you feel a gain? Sound good?

    Nice purchase.

i would pull the center panel down and rearrange those front 02 sensors. take it from my experience that they do NOT like to be twisted and tangled like that..it puts stress on them, and I had one rub through the sheathing and short out.

Lets just say it wasnt nice missing $300 or so from my paycheck Click here to enlarge

ah, i snapped that pick like that because that corner of heat shield was the part that had to be pressed back to get the proper angle Click here to enlarge

NIce dude! I love getting piece's like that and they come out to be great. It will end up rusting, but tho the F cares. Maybe when you go F/I though, you gotta keep a closer look at it. Temps will be much higher at those power levels. My cheapo downpipe from ebay is holding up fine so I'm sure this will too Click here to enlarge. Lets get some driving vids from inside of the car

Thanks. i was worried it would be too "raspy" but i dont think it is raspy at all. the video doesnt capture it, but it still has that bass/echo that I wanted, so im happy, very happy. if muthafuckin R/T tuning would ever call me back and have set a $#@!ing date for a quick dyno, i would have loved to give you guys before/afters of everything, but i guess they dont feel the need to schedule an appt for a bmw.. too busy doin subi's/ evo's and all other JDM's

i know, right.. crazy how it goes back to extremely mild when closed. the rev-match downshifts are non-existent when the valves are closed too, perfect for those rare occasions you dont want to draw attention
