    Well,

I button everything up today and get it ready for my ROAD Trip to Dallas ;D

I replaced my SS Screen on my Oil Catch Can with

    100% Copper ChoreBoy Scrubber

Also, Reset my Adaption with the EGS Removed and no more errors.

So far so good. AFR is much more stable then before.

It almost sounds like you are running out of fuel supply, not necessarily a tuning issue?

The quickest way to test this is to connect a fuel pressure sensor to the test port on your fuel rail once you get on the dyno and make a pull. Your tuner should be able to take it from there....

Something as simple as a slightly crushed fuel line from the fuel tank could be the issue.

    Safe driving.

    Anthony,

If you aren't able to test this on your trip, I can see what parts I have at the shop that can help you with this when you get back.

I think I have a complete set of OEM lines, fuel filter/FPR, and also fittings to install a fuel pressure sensor after the FPR. Heck...I even have a fuel pressure sensor I could send.....but you'll need to find an electronic gauge, or data logger (Preferred) to check the pressure.

Now that I think about it.....I have a data logger sitting on another guys car that I could see about sending you. It's got 5 channels and you'd be able to log boost, AFR, injector DC, and fuel pressure at the same time.

Great choice! Hopefully this does the trick....if not I'd be looking at the fuel pump.

Well, I maded it to Dallas, Tx in one peice. Car was running rich the whole way here. Cruising AFR is 13.8 and WOT is about 9. I got some speculations on what is causing it but not sure. Will figure it all out Monday.

I'm going to take an "informed" guess, and say it was closed loop compensation going nuts.

Got so upset with my car. That I parked it since last week when I got back in town. Called AA and talk some of the issues and verify that the install and etc was correct. I was depress about the situation (Seriously, thinking about taking the Kit off and selling it). Then I went back to the PDF file for the install. Reread the whole thing twice and caught my miss install item. Prior to this I had called AA and ask where does this line hook up too. Said I hooked it up correctly come to find out it is not. So hopefully, when I fix it tomorrow all my issues fuel related will go away! Click here to enlarge So that is the Great New. My FPR line is suppose to see Vacuum/Boost and not only Vacuum...

    That would do it!

So it was a fuel supply problem, and would have been picked up with a pressure sensor on the fuel rail. (For anyone running into similar symptoms on an FI install)

The good news is that the new FPR/Filter, and fuel pump aren't a bad idea to have replaced at this point.

    Updates! Click here to enlarge

I decided to solder the wires that I extended on the MAF Harness. Using 62/36/2 Rosin-Core Solder and some Rosin Soldering Flux. I have yet have time to reset my adaptation but WHAO! Car just woke up. Putting a big smile on my Face. Now sure its just side-effect from working on the car but I'm happy so far. I will reset Adaption tomorrow and drive it some tomorrow to see does it still act up.

Well, since my car is running half decent :4ngie: Engine Wear/Protection from being boost came to mind.

I have been running M1 0w-40 since I had the car at 40k. M1 said they ZDDP in that oil is about 1100 per quart. M1 claims that is plenty for our cars. Upon opening my motor and swapping Cams. I beg to differ. So, I started looking for other ways to boost or get off the shelf Syn Motor Oil that has a Higher Content of ZPPD. Then, I came across this Lucas Oil 10063 Engine Break-In Oil Additive. The bottle is 16oz. and has about 35000+ ZPPD per bottle. Which is Great! To my calculations, I will need about 1-1.5oz per oil change (7-8 quarts).

    Mobile 1 0w-40 = 1100 ZPPD
    Lucas 1oz = 2188 ZPPD

So if my calculations is right...

    1100(7) + 2188 = 9888 ZPPD (7 quarts)
    9888/7 = 1412 ZPPD (per quart)

Which to me is acceptable as the motor oil I am using in my M20 (e30) has about 1400 ZPPD and Most Redline Racing Motor Oil has about 1500 ZPPD per quart.

Since it warmed up a good bit here in Ms. I start to paint my oil cooler and brackets semi-gloss black to match the rest of the kit.

I started to remove my Oil Cooler for the S/C around to see how I can mount my new engine oil cooler...

Here it is mounted in front of the radiator support and will be behind the sc oil cooler.
