nope its not a problem. I was just wondering what the dwell is set to. I'll get working on the harness shortly. I'll have to order a new harness, I don't think there is any differences between the years but what year is yours?

P.S. if you want to unlock your aem let me know Click here to enlarge

No need to unlock...btw the V1 EMS does not have a Serial/RS-232 Port/DB-25 Connector. It requires a different harness Click here to enlarge
The V1 does have a different connectors on it though...

It's been working well on my car. I do notice though on a heavy load at higher rpm it will sometimes cut out and I'll have to restart it. Not sure if it's the stock dme shutting off the cylinder or the coil itself. Either way I believe the dwell is too long. I ordered a brand new s54 harness Which came in the other day but still need to get the connectors for the coils and need to find a source for the connectors that hpf uses on their harness. I would like to make it completely plug and play for cw but he will also need to unlock the aem to change the dwell.

    Hey Guys,

So, I almost don't understand the wiring...

    Original Coils:

    Pin1: DME Signal
    Pin2: Ground Valve cover
    Pin3: +12V

    VAG Coils:

    Pin1: +12V
    Pin2: Ground DME
    Pin3: DME +5V
    Pin4: Ground Valve cover

    OEM Pin3: +12V, to VAG Pin1: +12V
OEM Pin2: Ground valve cover, to VAG Pin4: Ground valve cover
OEM Pin1: DME Signal, to VAG Pin3: DME +5V
VAG Pin2: 2nd Valve cover ground? Or Sensorground to DME? Pin?

I hope you guys can help me Click here to enlarge

well actually that doesn't sound right at all... Granted i tapped onto the dme before the output of the coils. Now I've been meaning to make a plug and play harness for I guess years now but haven't done it. Remind me tomorrow and I'll give you a schematic of exactly how it needs to be done without opening the dme.
