    60-130 New Personal Best

    10.18 (1.6% decline) is newest so far (10.71 previously)

    Car is coming alive.
    As I eluded to yesterday, its running fast, problem is getting it to record accuratley.

    I had a 9.4 yesterday at 3.03% decline, a 10.02 right after this run today at 3.025% decline.

    all on the same exact stretch of road.

    Big thanks again to Evolve, I had my doubts in a tune for the S65, but they proved me wrong

    Ive experienced the same. Maybe this is how madsex hit the 6.1 with the vt2-600. From experience too I've seen way too great a disparity between two times of the same car on the same stretch of road back to back.............just makes me believe that as accurate as the vbox is, I dont think its THAT accurate and can be used to manipulate/exaggerate times.

    I was actually thinking about your run today. Was there an overpass on your run?

    No overpass on my best run, but on a 9.9 or something run (my second best) I had I did have an overpass over me and when I sent it to pencilgeek for verification he said the satellite lost reception for a millisecond, and that caused the whole run to be like .5 to 1 second faster than usual. I dont have my files on this computer in the city, when I'm back in queens this weekend I'll have them on that computer and send them your way.

    An overpass will give a false height reading. If you don't have enough satellites tracking it is likely to get a false reading.

    I chased numbers for a period, and it was emencely satisfying personally.

    You may enjoy getting a 9 in your current configuration more than getting a 7 in highly modified trim.

    Might have an eye on an affordable, nice exhaust system, complete with X-Pipes. Will send pictures and Info when I get it this weekend. I know its slightly off topic but I know you have been looking for something and it may improve that 60-130 best. Should def make some more power and a nice "note" to the ear. I know you and myself always look at the performance side first.

    im trying to do the most with the least, which is why i am going so slow. I do have on order a mid/x-pipe with resonators that should be delivered tomorrow, its one of them cheap Ebay ones, cost $460 shipped, so i can go fully catless and have a review of that as well Click here to enlarge

    The Vbox is extremely accurate & is used by pretty much all the magazines, manufacturer's, military, etc. But the conditions cannot be controlled. Slightly different conditions can make a difference. But what I found is that where in the run the slop is also makes a difference. Allow me to elaborate. We all know you need more horspower the higher the speed is. Drag increases exponentially & you need more ponies to overcome resistance at speed.


    So if you are allowed a 3% downhill gradient (or whatever it is), isn't it better to run on a flat road all the way & cram all 3% of gradient in the last 20% of the run. That's where you need horsepower the most. So the overall gradient may be 3% measure from the start to the end, but the drop off in the last bit of the run may be where all the gradient is made up.


    So you can run back-to-back & get different results but it doesn't mean you will get the same results especially if you don't are just looking at the overall gradient of the road. You may go downhill initially & then uphill and the slope might show as a zero. But the uphill at the end will kill the horsepower.

    Where the slope is plays the largest part. External factored affect the vbox much more than u think because its gps. I've had many many low 9.x runs, that are not "legal" simply because a tree was overhanging, or started too close to an overpass ect... This is verified by my own eyes, vbox plots of the exact same road, Google Earth, and various other gps plotting networks
