That sounds awesome, is that just with the intake and the stock recirc valve?

3-10hp depending on the boost levels. When we have the production units ready to go I'll do a post up with that info.

Terry, have you had a chance to look at an F30 2012 335i and if the N55 JB stage 2 is compatible? Just curious, in case if one day, I decide to make the switch.

Curious about this as well. I'm sure BMW probably did not make it so easy with the F30.

    Sorry, 135/335 only.

On the F30 I think it's an entirely new DME like the F10 535 so there won't be Stage2 for awhile. We'll have a Stage 1 soon, though.

    Thanks Terry.

Does the N55 Stage 1 Tune have the JB4 Processor, or is that only in the N55 Stage 2 Tune?

Does BMS offer anything else performance wise besides the N55 Stage 1 Tune for the F10 535i?

For the F10 535 only the Stage1. Although, we may be adding a downpipe for them shortly.

    Terry, thanks for reply.

Regarding my 1st question though, does the N55 Stage 1 Tune have the JB4 Processor?

Since you offer an N54 Stage 3 (JB4) and an N55 Stage 2 (JB4), I was assuming that JB4 referred to the faster processor in each juice box as opposed to the actual Stage of the tune, and that leaves me wondering if the N55 Stage 1 is JB4, JB3, JB2, or JB1. I hope that makes sense.

No, the N55 Stage1 is based on the previous generation JB3 processor.

    Terry,

Where this is listed on your site, you show this making about 350 to the wheels. What was the rest of your setup on the car while comparing this intake to stock? Mods, maps, etc?

Also, any update as to when they'll be in stock?

    Thanks!

Installed my N55 intake last night. All I have to say is wow! If you want to hear your turbo, this is for you.

For all those that keep asking for a BOV on the N55 (which will never happen) don't bother...just buy this intake and you'll hear all the whooshing and sneezing you need.

For some it may be too much. I turned some heads and got that wtf look a few times driving around last night. People will notice.

BMS has a great product here for an excellent price.

    We should never say never.

I was speaking in terms of the stock turbo with its integrated electronic recirc valve. There is no reason for a BOV with that setup. Agreed?

I see a lot of posts in the forums asking about a BOV for the N55. I think most people looking for that are interested in the sound, and I just wanted to make the point the intake will give them what they are looking for.

Agreed. Someone is going to do it for the boy racers though.

Glad to hear! Yes the N55 sounds great when uncorked a bit. Easily as loud as my N54 w/ Tial BOV. I can't imagine wanting it any louder!

Hi Terry - keep in mind the F10 535 shares the same downpipe as the 35i x5 and x6 variants. The only other manufacturer that has attempted this has been RSI (the remains of Riss Racing) and it looks like it was a limited run. In my view, you have an excellent opportunity if you were considering making this downpipe. I know of several members on the x5/x6, as well as folks with F10's that would be interested, in addition to myself.
    Thanks!
