    Vishnu 335i at the airstrip

He supposedly beat some pretty impressive cars. Race starts at 5:50. More videos apparently to come:

    Same race from the sidelines:

    Another video:

I'm impressed. I'd like to see some SCd M3's. I think we'd have some good races(and murders).

Didn't watch video but was sitting at the 1/2 mile marker during that 458 race. The 335 won by a few feet and the 458 hit the brakes right around the cones. Definitely a nice kill. Everyone at that power level was beating up on that 458, lol, I guess having a video of your car beating one is priceless. Click here to enlarge

hey lets face it. Shiv built a bad ass car. In that video it looked like the 458 backed down. But still the single is running! The problem is drivability, i drove around today(and I have RB turbos) trying to keep the RPM at 3K and its a $#@!! If anyone wants to challenge me on it ......... let me know

That 458 only backed down once it crossed the 1/2 mile marker. By then, our 335 caught up and passed it cleanly. As for drivability, there is no issue with the single turbo's low rpm response. None.

Nice video with the 335i! Stock Ferrari 458 Italia dyno's on the Dynojet around ~450rwhp SAE (unless it's a Challenge/GT3) & runs 11.2 - 11.5sec. If a car it's really making over +600rwhp & it's not just a dynoqueen, it should run 10's in real world!?! On a standing mile, with rolling it should dust a 458 Italia... should have been a few car length

I saw shiv posted that he had the car's boost dialed back a bit for the event, and he still beat the 458, gtr's, and a 800+ hp vette....

I'd be interested to see how "dialed back" it actually was, maybe Robert can comment?

The 458 Italia was on a disadvantage as well, since it was in higher altitude than at sea level (less atmospheric pressure for all motor).
It would be nice to run the 335i mid-3000#'s N54 with all it's got 626rwhp against a 4000#'s CLS63 RT tuned with 600rwhp for a standing mile or 1/2 mile. Since both are biturbo & altitude influence it's out of the question.

so how much hp is that?
in all seriousness, im not impressed. if you look at s/c m3s beating up on 458s, the 335 did not do as well as i would expect. especially if at an altitude disadvantage for the 458

A tune only CLS63 beat the 458. The M157 is going to be one hell of an engine.

But all in all, shiv's car is quick. It hasn't been up long and he was already out running it hard at an event.

To be fair to the vette owner. The car was just finished, never had track time. His only seat time was the drive to the event. According to him he had major traction problems. In the end he lost to the Porsche that took home the title for quickest car of the day.
