I'd love to see a better event! The racing part of this was really fun. Road issues aside.

come down to the texas mile sometime with us! Its a blast, and a lot safer track.

Given there is no head to head racing, but trap times tell the story....plus its always fun when you bring 5-600whp cars and your at the bottom of the pack lol!

It must be very tricky tuning for those things. At 140mph I was picking up knock I've never seen before on the car. I can't how the engine would feel at 170!

Here is a video of the M3 "535" race. If PG was not a good sport I'm sure this video would get "lost" so big props to him for letting me post it. Click here to enlarge

How bad was it? Will you post logs (if not thats okay)? Will you be making changes to fix that problem, or are you not worried about tuning for high speeds such as 140+?

Very good run Terry! I think I'm going to sell my COBB AP to test out JB4 for a little while. I have an AT 135i with BMS DCI and COBB AP. I have a helix FMIC and AR DP's waiting for me at home once I'm done with training.

The meth auto learning will pick it up and detune the car properly. But the best solution is more octane. 98 + CM10 is not going to cut it in this DA running maxed out factory turbos (19.5psi tapering to 15). On the 2/7 firmware we also increased the offset in 4th and 5th for large turbo guys.

Have you considered adding a CM5?

Well, previously in my 130mph runs it's never been an issue. Now doing 150mph+ runs is another story all together. I think at a minimum I need straight 105 octane for this stuff. A second nozzle would also be a good idea.

I think we really need to look at the nozzle placement again...with Cobb's latest race map for instance, which I haven't dynoed yet, it runs a bit more timing...I've tried a single CM10 nozzle at the AR elbow and today I've upped it to a DO14 and datalogged...cylinder 1 is always the quietest, cylinders 2 and 5 are always noisiest IF the corrections happen...they don't happen on every pull but when they do that's where i see slight timing corrections (up to 3.x deg of timing retard) ...single CM10 on average has corrections a bit more often and across more than 1 cylinder, which is less than what I see with a larger DO14 nozzle...

now, given our placement of the nozzle is better suited for IAT suppression than for octane enhancement I think placing one nozzle at the AR elbow (say a CM10 or CM7) for IAT advantages to optimize heat of vaporization and another at the TMAP elbow (say another CM7) for octane enhancement would be better than 1 large nozzle at the AR elbow or two nozzles at the AR elbow...

I'll be playing with this soon...fuel volume/AFR isn't an issue with Cobb as I've shown before, but getting meth to to quiet down the cylinders 100% on pump gas sort of is...maybe i'm looking for something that just isn't possible but it could be confirmed with just some race gas in the tank and no meth running the exact same tune/conditions

Why would the location of the nozzle have anything to do with octane?

Hmm 140mph is commonly reached when driving on unlimited german highways.

Might be a good idea to look into this quickly as there was a big JB4 groupbuy in a german forum a few months ago.

As a customer I would think the tunes are thoroughly tested in the most common situations? Not attacking the JB4 here, as this also applies to the Procede which didn't come with a "Do not use below 0C" sticker when I purchased it Click here to enlarge
