    COBB Tuning AccessPORT Discussion Thread

I just wanted to say hello to you guys here on BimmerBoost and give you a quick update of a few things we are working on here at COBB! Please feel free to use this thread to discuss AccessPORT N54 tuning, questions, and issues. We'll try to answer as fast as we can, but you can always email tech@cobbtuning.com or call us at 866-922-3059 with questions too. We are working hard on N55 support, new N54 maps for both Stage 1 and Stage 2, and our blue car has a meth kit we are testing with. We also just got a couple of new toys to play with.

Get those RBs set up and tuned... Hopefully you guys have the ability to tap not the fueling more and lets see what these RBs can also do. Maybe you guys have to invest in the new HPF kit as well. I have the AP and am keeping it regardless of the turbos I get. COBB 4 Life haha

Looking forward to N55 support... Although I have a feeling the X5 and 535 platforms are going to have to wait a little longer than the 135/335's

Need to look into the cruising/part throttle driveability, a bit on the rough side on the AT stock throttle.
Plus since day one ive had the occasional CEL with reduced power when rough idling in the morning, codes read mulitple misfires, and couple of cylinder misfires, however the car runs fine and doesnt shake, im betting its the injectors as it only happens when cold. Funny never had that with JB4, coincedence?
Enough with negatives, the power is awesome i must say.Love the product.

Definitely a coincidence. You have leaky injectors likely.

Based on my experience, maps for turbos like RBs won't work for compressor wheel upgrades like what I have. Still waiting for the JB4 so I can crank the boost and test it.

Glad to see you guys on the board. I've been running the AP for about a year and loving it. My only gripe was with the OE throttle map combined with monster torque. It made it tought to drive smoothly... Running the alternative throttle maps now and couldn't be happier.

My wish list is very short.... Access Tuner Race. Do this and it'll relieve all (ok, most of) the special map requests!

Have you considered messing with the torque split controller? Prbly not as the xDrive guys are not typically circuit track drivers, but I'd buy an upgrade if it let me custom map the torque split.

    Cheers!
