I'd love to see that matchup though.
It would be an awesome race for sure, and you are right about the weight. What kind of wtq did that GTR make with that power? I know of a e36 m3 that my tuner just tuned with a gt4094 that made 661whp, and 578wtq on 20psi SAE. Its a local car as well.

Yes but until it happens we can say for sure, and how well do the stock trans on the GTR hold up?

    You have gone turbo?
no. e36 isstill NA. im debating on going forward with a trm setup.

but back on topic...the gtr does shift insanely fast. id think youd need to bring more than what the nissan brought to the table to over come the tranny handicap.

Stock trans are capable of decent power,I think the stock clutches start to slip around the 8-900 whp mark when driven in anger...the modded trans seem to hold fine at the 1250+whp that the current top dogs are running;they could have even surpassed the 1300whp number by now for all I know

luck of the draw too maybe? not a whole lot of info readily available on what AMS and Switzer do exactly to avoid alot of the headaches that owners who don't even have close to the same power are experiencing.

my buddy had a 09. cobb tune and some other light mods was all iirc. couldn't handle the abuse after 8months or so. then it got ugly with warranty.

Makes me confident about my trans. I should be able to abuse it quite a bit...

Spoke with Bobby last night,on his mid-boost setting car made 602whp/585tq. He never dynoed it on high boost but ran down&beat a similiar modded GTR that put down 700whp so he says around 750whp or so sounds right on high boost

Yeah he was OK,Im surprised Bobby didnt beat the crap outta him lol. He is still upset/disgusted that his GTR is gone&just went out and bought a new SUV as he is taking a temporary break from building/racing cars. He will be back soon with a TTG or some other absolutely sick car Click here to enlarge

That GT-R pulled like it had a freaking turbine in it. His speedo was moving faster at 160 than mine does when I hammer it at 70... That is one incredible machine - stock or tuned - it's simply an awesome car, there is no questioning this.

    Technology. The E36 is ancient.

Weight difference of almost a 1000 pounds but it doesn't even matter. Dual clutch FTW.

    Make sense.

It would be nice to be working with an E36 (sarcasm, would be boring) but unfortunately it's 2012 and platforms are more complicated/sophisticated/advanced. You are more concerned with the length of my build than I am as if it even matters Click here to enlarge

It's ok dude, the E36 got obliterated by a modern car with a dual clutch. It's ok GG, it's ok. I promise everything will be fine. Need a hug?
