Gintani Stage 3 Build for Paul Walker's AE Performance E92 M3 track car

As many of you know Gintani supercharged Paul Walker's AE performance time attack/track car. After 2 great successful years with them tracking, pushing the car to its limit and breaking records, they have now came the conclusion that it's time for more power.
We were contacted by the AE performance team and have been discussing a stage 3 build for their M3 for a few months now. Paul walker has now given us the go ahead. We have begun taking his M3 apart and we will be documenting pictures of the build as we go along. Stay tuned as we will be posting the removal, engine tear down, engine build, install and the completed project.

Considering the fact that this car has been through 2 full years of professional racing, has been tested and abused by several professional race car drivers, we are very pleased with the condition of the engine components. As you can see the pistons show no signs of detonation. We will continue tearing apart the motor and have more detailed pictures tomorrow.

Here's some better pictures, one fully cleaned, half cleaned, and still dirty. This time with flash off and better lighting. As you guys can see, no signs of detonation :] Let us know if you would like us to clean the rest of the pistons ;]

We are running a 9.5-1 compression ratio piston on Paul Walkers motor. This way he will be able to start at 13lbs of boost and increase accordingly to his preference.

    I hope so, thanks.

I just have gotten concerned as I have called Alex a few times as well as left texts and received no response. I was hoping to already be driving my car by Christmas. Just want to know what the time frame looks like.

Damn Paul Walker getting in the way of focus on my car. Can't they make another Fast and the Furious already so he can be busy?

Those are nice detailed photos. I like how the pistons look so clean even with the previous stage 2 set up. How many miles are on the car with the stage 2 kit?

great thread Click here to enlarge always love engine builds!

two years of track abuse is amazing. Is there any reason to tear it down? I know with Porsche RSR engines they usually have a lifespan of 40-60 hours before they have to get rebuilt.

Thanks guys! This car will still run the V2 vortech blower we run on our stage 1 & 2. However they can option for the YSI at anytime. We currently have 2 stage 3s running vortech YSI blowers which push more cfm. Cars are making great power thru the whole power band, specially up top.
