Understood, getting this things dialed in takes time especially when you are the only one really pushing it.

Received the tuning box from VAC today just before my lunch meeting. Just as I was getting ready to leave, UPS dropped it off so it l can say that I installed it in under 10min wearing a suit. Not bad for "plug and Play" but I assume the competitors are just as easy.

It was easy to notice an immediate difference in both throttle response and seat feel. As strange as it may seem, it even sounded like the motor was happier. Probably result of more HP revving up more quickly.

From what I've read, it looks like the JBD would be even more of a difference. It is tempting so maybe I'll go that route once her legs are stretched a bit. I'm in contact with VAC and it sounds like they may consider making some adjustments/stage options. For now, I can say that I am pleased knowing that its a bit more of a conservative approach as these things really haven't been tested long term. Either way, I am happy enough for now.

My wife drove tonight and was very impressed as well... For the 5min she drove Click here to enlarge

    Ronin,

I understand you don't want to share the JBD results, did you see anything that concerned you or were the results not impressive? It is clearly a string value, but if it performs poorly or Nukes your engine, that value is worthless.

It was not an issue of safety with the JBD.

As you can see, guys, I'm around...lot has been going on in my life, both good and bad, but I'm still poking in every once in a while. Sorry for the Houdini, but I promise I'm still here, pushing things when I can. Click here to enlarge

No worries, real life takes precedence over BimmerBoost (barely).

Come up with what? He's already gone through a couple revs (at least) of the JBD...I'm to understand there's actually another one under development that should be ready in a couple of months.

@Ronin, Terry emailed me a couple of weeks ago and stated that here is infact a better version for the "D" in repsects that it will be better for us since we will not have to open the hood to adjust the settings on the defacto program running, I suggested to him a sort of dial up from the cabin he said he had something somewhat in the works similar to what i suggested . Gracias

His cantool should have already done that, but since I haven't been paying attention to his product line or his development, maybe that didn't work out the way he wanted it to. I know that the JB3 adjustments were working fine...now that I think about it, I think there was only limited functionality for the d before.
