    I don't see why we could not have an exhaust cutout which makes far more sense than a fake engine noise. Porsche has it down...
    Cut outs are for external noise control. The external noise of the m5 is not the problem. When a cabin is somewhat sound proof cut outs are not the answer to getting some of that noise inside. Making the exhaust so loud to enjoy inside the car would be obnoxious so fake speaker noise is utalized.

    The car would basicly need straight pipes and for oem, i dont think so

    I don't think it would basically need straight pipes. Every other manufacturer manages to convey the natural engine noise into the cabin. Genius engineers at BMW can't? The best solution they could come up with was synthetic engine sound? BS.

    Not exactly. BMW wants to keep the noise out of the cabin. That is the difference.

    Yes but at least in the Z4 they would pipe in the REAL engine sounds. Why they couldn't do that again and went the synthetic route I have no clue.
