Yup, it is the same guy. Just found it on his youtube channel.

Here is a quote : "A lap with a Bmw 1M Coupe on the Nurburgring. The car was awesome and no problems whatsoever. BTG lap time was 8.15 with traffic and i also needed to back off throttle for an accident in the last part. Without traffic and the accident under 8 min BTG is possible. I am following a CSL. Which is a nurburgring track day car. CSL has a cage, big brakes, lightweight exhaust and race seats en runs on pilotsport cup tires. The 1M coupe was completely off factory. I was amazed how well this 1M coupe runs on the Nurburgring."

Nah, but the 1M isn't a "real" M car. It can't hang-oh wait..... is that a CSL? A REAL M car!? OMG WTF A STOCK 1M HE'S CHEATING CSL DRIVER SUCKS OMG!!!

1M = M car. The street and track manners only prove this, regardless over whether you like the N54T or not.

I think I'm going to go with a 265/30R19 and 295/30R19 Toyo R888 for stock rims. Should be AMAZING grip and they fit stock wheels!

    YEP! LOVE it!

Funny story, I was taking an underpass and had room so completed a low speed 2nd gear 2-lane drift, straightened out and accelerated to about 80mph and then backed down to speed limit on access road (50mph).

Moments later I see red and blue lights flashing, it was a bike cop, and he was yelling at me. (windows were open, great weather right now in Corpus)

I pull over, expecting to get handcuffs and have my car impounded. He yells at me for a bit (WTF do you think you were doing!?) and then starts to cool off and tell me he feels an ass-chewing is better than going to jail. I find out he has a 500+hp Z28, a 6.2 Ford Raptor that had some work done by Hennessy, has a 160hp I-4 Police Sport bike, and has ridden a BMW S1000rr. His wife's dad has some Alpina BMW. We talk about tire compounds for a bit, the great balance and drifting ability of the 1M, how he got pulled over doing 130MPH by his fellow police force and just having a performance bug in general.

I ended up handing him one of my new business cards for my Dynamometer services. He lets me off with a warning. BEST COP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! (I have warrants for unpaid speeding tickets)

Gotta love fellow enthusiasts! Click here to enlarge

Nope, part of the thrill is winding those revs out and the instant response. It is a 135is.

Did you put up pics of it? I don't remember.

    Excellent for a stock 1M against a track prepared E46 CSL M3!

My car DOES have instant response when I use the throttle..... and less than a second later it gets another rush of torque. It must be a pretty damn good "is" to keep up with a modded version of BMW's ultimate track car on the e46 chassis. (Which is also using SMG)

I don't have pics up yet. I'm doing that tonight plus a ton of dyno videos.

The M3 CSL lapped the ring in 7:50. The 1M has done 8:15 I believe? Come on now.

And? You watched that video right?

It's not like I say you don't have a real M car because it has a V8 and is not the lightest model. Anyway I was being sarcastic, the M means nothing, it's all about how it's built and the 1M is built well and is a blast to drive with good mod potential. So have been the previous M cars.

Good luck with your project. Is it almost finished yet?

One car is more capable than the other regardless of driver skill. Equal drivers means the CSL will win every single time.

Why can't M cars have V8's? It is the lightest car in its class but the M3 has always gotten heavier each iteration. The E46 wasn't lighter than the E30, come on now.

The M means a lot to me so to see them destroy it sucks.

Don't try to argue with Sticky, he is right, the 1M is not a real M car. It's just the best car BMW has put out in the last 20 years...that's all.

@Sticky Please remind me how BMW has ruined M. I have forgotten.

M suv's, turbo motors, regular engines into M models, electric cars, super heavy vehicles, lack of racing derived engines, and overall dilution of the brand with too many models including entry level vehicles that never would have made the cut for M previously. That about sums it up.

So the fact that the new M5 DESTROYS the outgoing model in every performance aspect means nothing because it has turbos?

And why do you give a $#@! about M suv's? They are fast as $#@!... Porsche had a high performance SUV before BMW did, thats why BMw made it. Do you feel the same way about porsche?
