Looks like a tight squeeze, but those are fun sometimes.

Excited for the dyno... can't wait.

Why are you being a dick? Run one top end and see how much your elapsed time matters.

Gee coming from someone who used to hate on HPF for not running in the 10's i thought you would laugh at the comment...For a car that is trapping high 130's one should be in the 10's...

Word on the street is, Chris was waiting to put this turbo on just to race me Click here to enlarge

It will happen, it will be videoed and it will be posted regardless who wins....

The 82mm turbo will have an even worse powerband than the 76mm... It may make a peak number that is higher but it is going to be useless..

Never hated on them for not running 10's, I have continually stated the E46 is a poor platform for launching to get a good ET but a great platform to make power.

Who cares about ET as much as trap or power? These things make big power, launching the E46 is not simple.

It's a good quote and I bet they will run 10's easily. I'm more interested in seeing the 1xxx graphs. We all know these kits are already trapping more than enough to run 10's.

Its difficult to get the car high enough to squeeze a tall drag radial under there. Noone has really run slicks.. the first guy that did ran a 10 on his first pass (not an HPF car though, but same concept.. turbo E46 m3 on a T71 I believe with 2.73 gears as well.. not the stock 3.62).. The cars just cannot reliably run 10's.. noone builds parts for that sort of abuse.. we've all been using road racing parts and tryingt o adapt them.. also noones ran slicks.

There are plenty of excuses.. it could be done and if my car ran for more than 2 weeks without breaking $#@! I'd do it as well.. but nope.. back to the shop it goes.. fubar'd the clutch this time.

True, but even as gringotegra said 800whp and 130-135 mph traps. Maybe turbo lag is too much between gears? I think the twin turbo set up might hit 10's before the large single.

Maybe the twin turbo would but from a roll we know what would pull. ET just isn't the E46's forte due to the POS rear end BMW gave them (for abuse).

C'mon man, really? Where are you getting this and please don't tell me Cafferty. You really think we'd develop a whole new stage just to beat your Honda? We've got a honda in back thatd be better suited for that.

It's been at the drag strip with both the A6 and R6 hoosiers, but they are 19's and won't hook to save their life. The problem is, we're drag racing a road car. The suspension is aligned and set up for cornering so even with the 345 DR's we're not really getting anywhere. I think Chris's best 60' is like a 1.55 but once it came into boost in 2nd it would just haze the tires. We need smaller brakes in the rear, a 15inch wheel and slicks IMO if we want to run the times that the car is capable of.

True, just didn't know if you had only been trying street tires, because the A6s (especially in 345!) do provide a damn good amount of grip for acceleration. Was the rear camber set all crazy? Are you guys running boost-by-gear? Maybe you could drop the target down in 2nd or retard the timing a bit to help that shift and hook 2nd. Also, what are you running for clutch? If it's a single disk racing puck then the shift harshness is probably helping it break loose too. I'm guessing you guys are baller and running some sort of double/triple carbon setup though. Yeah the car definitely needs to be dialed in to put up a good time TC, boost control and suspension to start. We've ran the car with an OS Giken triple disk as well as an HPF stage 3 clutch. Traction doesn't break during launch or shift, it just over powers the tires once it comes into boost.

I don't recall what the alignment is set up at, but I know it hasn't been changed since it was dialed in for GTGP.

No, i never said you developed this to beat me.. I was told said Chris wanted to wait till they had the 82mm turbo on TO race me... Little different... And no it wasn't Cafferty....

As far as hondas you have back there, Lets See you probably have Cody's white ITR as of right now has only made mid to low 500's.. It has the potential to make crazy power but it hasn't YET.. John's hatch is all motor.. And Ryans car is all motor right now, but he has turbo plans..
