after watching merts video again and judging from my own experiences at trying a few 60-130 runs on crappy street tires I can say..

.8g's is not 4.x 60-130.. You'd need to be pulling about 1.2g's and running from about 40mph at full boost in 4th all the way to redline (8200 @ about 138mph) in 4th to do it with no shifts. Sorry but i'm not buying it.

Street tires have a average grip of about 1.1g's.. R compound, about 1.2-1.3g's and slicks about 1.5g's.. My car (and I have the files on my laptop) gets about .9g's in 4th on some crappy falkens. That's based on my onboard datalogger with gps connection, running 18lbs of boost on a low setting. From a standing 60mph with no roll on at 18lbs I can do 60-130 with 1 shift in about 7.5 seconds and I'm doing .9g's.. With a roll on and higher boost I wouldn't have any traction what so ever so I didn't bother trying.

If Mert's camera is accurate it doesn't look like he even breaks .8g's.

Once ADV sorts my wheels out they'll have R888's with a bit more sidewall and I'll give it a more proper go.

This is me on my lowest boost setting of 18lbs flooring it from a cruising 60mph (because I thought 60-130's were done from a standing 60mph). When you hear the BOV that was me redlining in 4th at about 139mph.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr8z7M_OBsA

    I
didn't step on the gas until 23 1/2 seconds and I let off at about 29 1/2.

That was my first and only 60-130 pull... had I known you can start from a lower speed and build boost going into the 60mph mark I would have.

I was logging but the stupid logging software I'm using is way to complicated... its intended for serious circuit/track racing with like a million plots/graphs/gps location mapping, etc... if I read right it said about 7.5 seconds but if you watch the video you can clearly see it was more like 6 seconds and if I line up the G's , RPM's and Speed they're all off by a second or two. There's some new firmware updates for the datalogger I need to apply hopfully that fixes it. I have a VBox as well just not in my possession at the moment.

I'll take a screenshot of the datalogging information to show you what I mean by things not lining up (aka it says my G's dropped at 171sec but my RPM was still going to 173sec and my speed dipped at 170sec.. those should all line up with my shifts but their not.

Here's just the speed vs distance graph. Two shifts.. tried to start at exactly 60mph.. first and only time I've tried a 60-130.. did it way out in the middle of no where between Sacramento and Oakland.. not alot of open road out here to be testing and the highways are insanely bumpy..

This indicates about 8.22sec from 60-130. I think I was running 18lbs at the time.

Keep in mind this was my only pull, and I did so quite casually.. I wasn't trying to beat any records but more or less test my data logging software/hardware. I just found a application from the same vendor that allows me to log 60-130 live to my laptop. I'll have to try that out this weekend.

Congradulations, you will see better times in the coming days.

You need to use a VBOX.

I have a Vbox but I also have a DL1 with a more advanced accelerometer and more precise gps antenna not to mention that it reads the vehicles wheel speed AND speed via gps... It's a tad more advanced and accurate than my Vbox.

    I
also have the video sync adapter which emits a little unvisible to the human eye blinking light that allows me to sync my Go Pro videos up with the actual engine/performance data thats been logged.. creating essentially.. this:

I should mention that the DL1 plugs DIRECTLY into the ProEFI ECU.

    nice products, like it.

VBOX is the standard and you need to use Vbox for verification.

If you will work for yourself and wont care for verification this took will be enough.

Thanks for sharing the times. I am not used to seing other E46 M3's 60-130 times.

We are not used to seeing 0-30 vbox runs, but those are the new standard for performance cars. Get with the times

The DL1 is more accurate. But like I said, I also have a VBox.

You can use the DL-1 and have that awesome dash setup without a proEFI right? Not sure if that is a stupid question.
