I can already see the difference between my car and stock by driving it everyday.........practice what you preach and simply back off the b/s antogonizing 60-130 $#@!......if someone wants to run 60-130 times they will, continuously hounding someone about times is not going to make them do 60-130 pulls.

as long as he backs it up with evidence i cant see why you would claim it to be fabricated, or false. evidence being a video or better, the vbox file. as much as you guys chastise him he has lived through the trial by fire, he has congratulated people who bested him and though he does default on 'where's your 60-130?' i believe he is helping the community with his advancement of the platform. this forum is very much performance oriented and being such i think he should be welcome here with his fast bmws. i dont claim to know mert or his history, though it must be awful seeing all the negative posts and purposeless negative rep he gets. but what i do know is he is attempting to break records, who can say otherwise?

fast is a relative term. but how fast?

You should not get angry. I do ask for 60-130 times.

It requires power / traction / durability / reliability / complete tuning of chasis...

Almost all of the late model modified cars such as GTRs, Gallardos, 996 TTs, 997 TTs do measure 60-130 mph.

Its showing the COMPLETE PICTURE Of a car, more than power....

60-130 is from real life, from real driving conditions, from highway, its real. its not from a track.

on a track a m3 may perform 4,9 s 60-130 due to VHT and good track surface. The same M3 will perform 6,4 s on the real highway.

This M3 will be driven 99 % of the time on the highway not at the track.

Thats why 60-130 is so crucial.

crucial for who????? i dont drive 130 mph to work. you just dont get it............i built the car as a fun daily driver, numbers dont mean squat to me, whether its 1/4 mile or 60-130 or 0-15.....why cant you get it thru that turkey basted skull of yours that some people just dont care.

funny how youre making excuses already of how your record got beat, VHT this, VHT that............i bet you $#@!ed alot of turkeys when you read those times.

    Funkboy,

Sticky still did not verify Boris' time. Lets say he will verify.

My times are still the fastest E36 m3 and E46 m3 60-130 times.

Soon will come with faster times, 3600 cc S54 worked great. Much faster times will come soon.

If you read my previous post why 60-130 is so essential you "may" understand.

However you cannot get the gist of the 60-130 subject.

Dont bother yourself, leave yourself free from 60*130 logic.

sorry everyone, we must all immediately run out and test our cars 60-130 times because it is ESSENTIAL, if you do not measure 60-130 times your car may blow up. please everyone i urge you to go right out and measure this most ESSENTIAL data of your car. Now that i understand how ESSENTIAL this data is i can not believe it is not standard manufacturers data. im going to start a petition. DAMN BMW for not providing me with this most ESSENTIAL DATA!!!!!!!

Boris' time is verified, just need to add it to the list. I'm way behind due to all the trips and such.

Also, Boris is credible. His word is enough for me.

All he is saying is that 60-130 is a accurate and commonly used measure for acceleration performance on the street.

It's obvious that you don't care how fast your car is. Let's just leave it at that.

Nope, but an interesting correlation. What did the PPF car make power wise?

I think it was in the 12XXhp area.

That's what they used after trying a compound setup that they couldn't get over 900hp with.

Really nice car with a proper dry sump and 4 link rear.

Spot on. Reliability and character aside, even if someone else who was reliable had a 3.6l or was running these sorts of times but wouldn't disclose so much as a picture, etc I wouldn't like them. I share everything I learn and all my experiences to help others save time/frustration wish he'd do the same.. but I think the whole motivation behind this is to prove he's capable of what he once wasn't.. aka he's holding like a decade long grudge against the BMW community.

Exactly! I Share every thing that I have done so far. Nothing is a secret. For example If someone asks me how I wired my Z8 starter button I say I dont know as I didnt do it, it was my Master tech. Easy! I'll do a DIY for things like that when I next work in that area of the car again.

But MERT does not provide any info. Again above he says oh my S54 is running nice blah blah blah. Yeah we dont care if its running nice or not we need technical details.
